Cats! Enter to win the Neko Napper Pet House by Nekochan!

Hi and happy Friday!!!

Cody and I couldn't be happier to present one of the most adorable cat homes ever! It is made by our friends at Nekochan (the creators of Cody's FAVORITE toy), and it is a part of the Neko Nappers line, it is the:

 Neko Napper Pet House!!

Is this not the most adorable house?

When we think of Nekochan, the first thing that comes to mind is QUALITY. Nekochan is a manufacturer and distributor of unique, high quality pet products.

Cody and I have featured products from Nekochan numerous times, the first time, was on March 7, 2011 when Cody first fell in love with his "kittenator" (which to this day, is his FAVORITE toy!)

It is evident that the chief designer at Nekochan has a great understanding of cats and the things that they love! Nekochan's COMMITMENT TO HIGH QUALITY is, in my opinion, unsurpassed.

The Neko Napper Pet House was created to resemble a "chateau" and has a pad that is plush (perfect for making biscuits!!) and is machine washable! You wash it in cold water and air dry.

Like the rest of the Nekochan line the Pet House is:

  • High quality and durable
  •  Foldable for storage and travel
  • Has walls that are "tufted" which gives it added support and makes it easy to fold!
  • The dimensions are 16.5" (L) x 18" (W) x 16.5 " (H)
  • Is stylish living for cats AND small dogs!!!!
  • If your cat prefers NOT to be in an enclosed space, you can unzip the roof and use the roof as a pad as well!

What cat doesn't love a hidey-hole to escape from the world? The Neko Napper Pet House makes napping extra cozy, stylish and FUN!

Assembling the Pet House could NOT be easier! I assembled it within a few minutes, and if I can, anyone can!

To assemble you merely:

  • unfold base
  • place the sleeping pad inside the base
  • attach the roof to the side walls with zipper and Velcro strips, that's it!!!

It even keeps away GIANT FURRY INTRUDERS!!!

If it is possible, I think I love the Neko Napper Pet House as much as Cody! As many of you know, Cody was ill last month. Ironically, I had set up his Pet House practically the same day. Once assembled, Cody IMMEDIATELY entered it and spent the majority of the days that he wasn't feeling well in his Pet House.

The photos above were all taken at that time. The Pet House not only offered Cody warmth and a cozy place to rest, it allowed him to still be with the family, AND have his OWN SPACE without fear of anyone (or a certain woofie) bothering him.

To say that this Pet House was a godsend would be an understatement. During the time that Cody wasn't eating and was lethargic, having this Pet House become his haven, brought me peace of mind and at least a little bit of joy! It made me feel good to know that even if he wasn't feeling well, he had a wonderfully warm and inviting space where he could rest.

Thankfully, Cody is FINE and the Neko Napper Pet House is STILL one of his favorite spots to nap. It has been bitterly cold here in Michigan as it has been  in many parts of the country, and to Cody, this winter is "pawsitively cozy!" because of nis Neko Napper Pet House!

Kitties are you ready?

Our friend at Nekochan has generously agreed to offer a GIVE-AWAY!!!!  Yes, that's right!! ONE LUCKY KITTY WHO RESIDES IN THE U.S. OR CANADA WILL WIN ONE!! (It is a $70 value!) Entering is super easy! Just enter on the Rafflecopter below! Good luck!!!

Have A Heart: Support the Michigan Humane Society Valentine's Telethon On Thursday, February 12th

‘SHARE THE LOVE’

MHS asks for community’s support
to save thousands of animal lives this year
In this season of caring, show your love to homeless animals by supporting the Michigan Humane Society’s (MHS) 2015 Valentine’s Telethon, presented by Purina. WXYZ-TV Channel 7 Action News anchor Alicia Smith will host the Telethon, which will air in commercial breaks throughout the day on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Funds raised by the Telethon are critical to helping MHS rescue and care for thousands of animals in great need.

Alicia Smith and Friend
From Cody: Last year my Mom worked a telethon for Michigan Humane and  so many of the kind people she met on the phone brought tears to her eyes!

“The Michigan Humane Society has numerous programs that are absolutely vital to the animals and pet owners in our community,” said CJ Bentley, Senior Director of Operations for MHS. “But without the community’s crucial support, we cannot help those who need us most. On February 12, please share the love and help us save animal lives throughout the year.”

The 19th annual MHS Telethon will feature adoptable pets and stories that show how your support can make a lifesaving difference for area animals who are homeless, abused or neglected.  As a private, nonprofit organization, MHS receives no government funding and is not affiliated with any national humane organizations, relying instead on the generosity of its supporters to save more animal lives.

Lifesaving donations can be made on or before Feb. 12, online at www.michiganhumane.org/telethon or by calling
(855) MHS-GIVE (647-4483), 24 hours a day

In addition to Purina, sponsors of this year’s Telethon include PetSafe, US-Mattress.com, Wendy’s-The O’Brien Foundation, Premier Pet Supply, Center for Computer Resources, Strategic Staffing Solutions, Bravecto, Heidebreicht Chevrolet and Grid4 Communications.

The Michigan Humane Society is the largest and oldest animal welfare organization in the state. MHS works to end companion animal homelessness, provide the highest quality service and compassion to the animals entrusted to our care, and to be a leader in promoting humane values.

Undercover Cat: Book 4 In the Klepto Cat Mystery Series by Patricia Fry-Enter to Win!

I didn't think it could be accomplished, but Patricia Fry has outdone herself with Book 4 in the Klepto Cat Mystery Series:

The suspense begins on the first page and continues up to the final page! One of the questions that I was hoping would be answered was not, I am anticipating it being answered in the NEXT book in the series! While reading, my heart was racing with anticipation and my eyes swept the pages eagerly awaiting what was going to be happening next!

New characters are introduced, old characters are re-visited and in many cases are intensified.  Klepto Cat Rags has a much stronger presence, and some characters that were heavily featured in the three previous books in the series, were less of a focus in this suspense-filled winner!

In Undercover Cat a local journalist goes missing just before she turns in her story exposing vile cat hoarders.

Will she be rescued?

From Matilija Press:  a body is discovered in the Iveys' orchard and Rags (their kleptomaniac cat) goes missing. Can someone in a nearby homeless camp shed some light on the evolving mystery? Does Rags have a secret of his own?

I deliberately did not mention some names and other details in Undercover Cat, because if you haven't read the three prior books in the series, I didn't want to divulge information to ruin your experience!

One of the things that I loved was a much heavier cat influence, (book number one in the series had a heavy cat influence, but the ensuing books did not).

From Chapter Six in Undercover Cat: cats seem to be happy-well, some of them do...I guess I never noticed that cats have different personalities. Since I've been coming out here to feed them, I've seen some silly cats, scaredy cats, sneaky cats-hate those sneaky ones. Some of these cats are bossy, some are loud, some are quiet. Some want to be seen and others obviously don't. I guess they each have a story, just like every person does.

Klepto Cat Rags is at his finest, an unlikely love relationship blossoms, the Iveys (from books one, two and three) have a secret, in this action-packed, suspense-filled story!

Undercover Cat is  more intense,  the "bad guys" more evil, the writing and character development is equally as superb as the three books that precede this volume. Undercover Cat is once again a quick read at approximately 244 pages.

Spectacular Selfie Sunday News!

Hi every furry! It's Cody!

Before I show you my selfie for today, Mom and I wanted to give you an update as to how I am doing.

Remember when "Dr.Smiley's" assistants stole my blood and shipped it off to some unknown land to be tested? Well, "Dr.Smiley" called Friday night with some news for my Mom and.....

THE BLOOD PANEL TEST

WAS 100% NORMAL!!!!

Mom was shrieking and when she got off of the phone she and Dad kept telling me what a great job I did! They kept kissing me and petting me. I just looked at them as if they were nuts, (which they are!)

I told them I  all along that I was fine,
 and NO ONE would listen!!

Kudos to "Dr.Smiley",  had he been in town to begin with, this might have all been "nipped" in the bud! "Dr.Smiley's" instincts are always spot on, we are so lucky to have him in our lives. That being said, I am grateful that I don't have to be taken back to his "Evil Castle" for at least a few months!!

So, now that things are back to "normal", as normal as they can be at my house, Mom was bugging me to do a Selfie for today so that we could update everyone. I didn't want to take a selfie, but to make her happy, I relented.

Mom and I would like to thank EVERYONE for all of their comments, emails, messages, etc. and for the MANY purrs and prayers that I received.  There are no better people in the world than animal lovers unless they happen to be pet bloggers. They rally around each other and give support, prayers and love unselfishly and they truly "get it."

Mom and I are proud to be a part of such an incredibly caring group of people and their pets.

We love you and thank you ALL!!!

Cody and "Mom"

Now, head on over and see the rest of the pawesome selfies over at Cat On My Head!

A Book With Heart and Beauty: Sal Finds A Forever Home, by Diana Alvear, Illustrated By Chandler Strange

Not since the arrival of The Chronicles of Zee and Zoey  by Deb Barnes, have I audibly gasped at the beauty of the packaging that was used to ship a book. Both Deb's book and  Sal Finds A Forever Home, by Diana Alvear where both packaged and shipped with the utmost care, and an astute eye for presentation.

Meticulously wrapped in pink tissue paper (why, oh why did I forget to photograph it!?, No worries!! I may have forgotten to photograph it but Diana didn't!) I found a photo that shows how the book was wrapped on Diana's Facebook page!

I grinned like the Cheshire Cat when "Sal" arrived!

Cover courtesy of www.salpals.com

It is the kind of children's book cover that causes  you to handle the book ever-so-gently in an effort to not mar its' beauty. I lovingly touched it and gazed at the cover which is so pretty that it beckons you inside...

This delightful children's book is simply captivating,
 inside and out.

The sherbet colored cover, as well as the hand-painted, water color illustrations throughout the book carrying on the delicate sherbet,  blush-like hues, were all painted  by Chandler Strange.

Sal Finds A Forever Home, was written by Diana Alvear, and is based on Diana's real-life kitty of the same name, who was her "soul kitty."  It tells the story of Sal as he waits at the shelter, hoping to find his forever home.

While the book is geared towards children, ANYONE who has adopted and loved a cat will be deeply touched by the magic that happens when a cat CHOOSES US. We just know.

"ONE SMALL CAT. ONE MIGHTY HEART. SAL WAS A SHELTER KITTY WHOSE SWEET SOUL LED US TO CREATE A WORTHWHILE LEGACY IN HIS NAME: TO HELP HOMELESS PETS."

"Sals Pals:Salvatore Valentino Alvear was quite the little cat. He stole Diana's heart in 2003 while waiting for his forever home at the Washington Animal Rescue League. Together they crisscrossed the country, making many friends along the way. Sal was a special needs kitty - he had a heart murmur & took pills for his hypothyroidism every day. That didn't stop him from charming both cat and non-cat people (who quickly realized they were cat people all along!) He would hang out during parties & welcome people with a pat from his paw. While he was not a big cat, he was the Alpha male in any room, regardless of cat or person.

Sal was Diana's best friend, her soul kitty, and when he passed over the rainbow bridge, she vowed to create a legacy in his memory.

Sal, Everybody's Pal, is the first story in a new series! Children (as well as adults),  will fall in love with sweet Sal and his pals Stormy and Lucky, while learning important lessons: that it's best to adopt pets from shelters, not buy them from stores, and that all animals deserve love, dignity and respect, no matter their age or health."

I would like to thank Diana Alvear for the opportunity to read Sal Finds A Forever Home. Having found my Angel Bobo, (MY "soul kitty!),  as a stray, and being blessed to share his life for 18 years,  then adopting Cody at an adoption drive held by Petsmart, the love that Diana felt (and feels) for Sal, is a love that there aren't words enough to adequately convey. It is a love that is deep, raw, and eternal. How blessed all of us that have the honor of being  loved by cats are!

10% of the profits from sales of the book will go to support animal rescue groups.

National Answer Your Cat's Questions Day!

I was elated when I received an email from our friends at FetchingCommunications informing us that today is National Answer Your Cat’s QuestionsDay!! I asked Cody if he would like to participate, and he eagerly agreed! Thanks Cody for using some of your valuable nap time  to ask me these great questions! Cody and I  hope you all will enjoy Cody’s questions and my answers!

CODY: Mom, why did you adopt me instead of my litter mates?

MOM: Well, to be completely candid, I DID hold your litter mates first, but neither one of them liked me! Your little sister was the spitting image of my Angel Bobo that had passed a mere two weeks before you were adopted, naturally I was drawn to her first, but she wanted nothing to do with me! Then, I picked up your brother, it was the same thing. Cody, YOU were different! When I picked you up, you sat in my lap and crawled up to my neck to cuddle me, just as you do today. You showed NO desire to leave me. I KNEW that you were a most special and loving boy from that moment. I adopted you on the spot. I  love that you are STILL my “cuddly little boy!"

Cody resting on my belly!!!!

CODY: Well, Mom if you were so happy with me, why did you go and get a DOG too?

MOM:Blame your father for THAT! (I’m Kidding!) Sort of! I had wanted a new dryer, not a dog!  Dad knew that I had  a dream (yes, YOU might call it a bad dream), of having a Sheltie since I was a little girl. When Angel Bobo was alive, a dog, (or a cat for that matter), was out of the question, because Bobo wanted to be the “ONLY’ pet in the household! Since you lived with, (and liked!) dogs at your foster home, Dad thought getting a dog would be a good thing for YOU and for me. He surprised me the day before my birthday with Dakota! Cody, you know you are happy with your brother. I KNOW that you love him! You and Dakota are the BEST of friends, I know you won’t admit it, but you LOOK for him when he is not home and I can tell that you miss him when he is at the groomer, or at the Vet, or when he is not at home  doing whatever it is that he does!

CODY: Ok, I’ll give you that! I DO love Dakota (but don’t tell my kitty friends!)  I have another question, why can’t I “free feed” all day?

MOM: Because Dr.Smiley says so! Why? Because you are TOO FAT! There are cats who will stop eating, but NOT YOU! If I were to put a bowl of kibble in front of you to "free-feed" throughout the day, you would inhale it ALL in one sitting!

CODY: Mom, nothin' like the pot calling the kettle black! Geeze, publicly embarrass me why don't cha! Anyway, I have one last question,  why do so many kitties not have a forever home like me and they have to live in shelters? It makes me sad to see so many kitties without homes.

MOM: That upsets me too Cody. Some kitties with no homes are in Shelters because their humans are no longer alive, became ill, or hard luck fell on them and they could no longer afford to keep them. Many kitties  are in shelters because some cats were not spayed or neutered, and  the Kitty Moms had kittens and there was no place but the street for them to live.  There are many reasons, and none of them are the fault of the kitties. I hope, as you do, that one day EVERY kitty will have a forever home. I know that would make you happy and it would make me happy too.

CODY: Yes, it would Mom. It would make me extremely happy. Mom, thank you for taking the time to answer these impawtant questions. I am a lucky kitty to have a Mom who takes the time to listen to my concerns. I love you Mom.

MOM: Cody, you do not have to thank me! I am your MOM!  Adopting you was one of the happiest days of my life. Your Dad and I will do everything in our  power to help keep you happy and healthy. I will never, ever not provide for you or love you. You never have to worry about not having a loving home.Thank you for choosing ME to be your Mom. It is the greatest honor, and one that I do not take lightly. Thank you for sharing your life with me, my sweet, brave, loving, funny and feisty boy....you are the best kitty I could ever hope to have.  I love you with all of my heart and soul.

"Faith Is..." a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.

Today is Martin Luther King Day, which  used to fall on his actual birthday (January 15th). It is now a "floating holiday" which is now observed on the third Monday of January, (close to his birthday).

From Wikipedia:King was the chief spokesman for nonviolent activism in the civil rights movement, which successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law. The campaign for a federal holiday in King's honor began soon after his assassination in 1968. PresidentRonald Reagan signed the holiday into law in 1983, and it was first observed three years later. At first, some states resisted observing the holiday as such, giving it alternative names or combining it with other holidays. It was officially observed in all 50 states for the first time in 2000.

Crazed Silver Gray Tabby Cat Makes a Break for It At Vet!

Got your attention didn't I?

Furiends! It's Cody and I need your help BIG TIME!

I overheard my Mom talking to my Dad a few days ago. Kitty and woofie furiends, you  will NEVER believe what I heard! Mom and Dad are planning on TRICKING ME!!! Yep, you heard me correctly, my Mom and Dad are gonna pull a fast one! Or so they think!

Here's the litter dirt... many of you remember that a few weeks ago I decided to put myself on a self-imposed diet.  What Mom and Dad didn't know, was that I was tired of everyone making fun of my ample belleh, so  I decided to take matters into my own paws and cut back on my food.

I was gonna be controlled about it, nothing drastic, so I just stopped eating for a bit. Furiends, that was part of my weight loss plan! Mom and Dad didn't know this, but I DID! Well, it back-fired and Mom and Dad stuffed me into my PTU and took me to the Vet to see "Dr. Smiley."

What Mom and Dad didn't know at the time was that "Dr.Smiley" was off gallivanting in his home town, so I was left in the paws of his youthful ward assistant, "Dr ---" you can guess her name,
( she is a Vet by day and by night she and her Veterinarian furiends sing "What Does The Fox Say?")

This is where all of the drama started.  Furiends, Dr. Smiley's youthful ward stole my blood (and didn't like what she saw), AND she had her evil sidekicks put me on a table to take photos of my belleh (what kind of freaks are they???) Then, they had the nerve to tell Mom and Dad to take me to the Emergency Vet which was even worse!!! They also poked, prodded and  shaved the furs on my beautiful belleh! Furiends, I was so humiliated that it  has taken me WEEKS to pull myself together enough  to tell you the sordid tail tale! The Emergency Vet put some cold disgusting stuff (kinda like that hairball gel), on my belleh so they could take even MORE pictures!!   To think I thought that Mom constantly trying to take pictures of me was bad, this  horrible furiends! I thought if I hacked once it would stop them, but my valiant effort was for naught!

When they stole my blood they said they think I have hypercalcemia (and I don't even drink milk! MOL!)  After they had me at the Emergency Vet for what seemed like all of my nine lives, I was sent home with pills to... ready for this? MAKE ME EAT! Me! The kitty kibble machine was being FORCED to eat! It was a dream come true! Trust me kitties, NEVER put yourself on a diet without telling your pawrents, if you do, you will be carted off to the vet like I was!

Furiends, do you believe that "Dr.Smiley" told Mom that he wanted to be contacted in his evil out-of-town location, to be kept up-to-date as to what was transpiring with me? Now he does his plotting out-of-town? You have GOT to be kidding!

When I got home I made sure to end that diet and I started eating with my usual gusto without the pills that were supposed to make me eat!!! I thought that the fact that  I was consuming my usual copious amount of food would prevent my having to go back to see "Dr. Smiley", but obviously, I thought wrong.

A couple of days ago I  was perched on the couch minding my own business eavesdropping,  when I overheard Mom and "Dr.Smiley" on the phone plotting their evil plan to steal MORE BLOOD!

Doesn't he get enough? What kind of sicko is he? If he needs iron, can't he go and eat some liver or something, preferably NOT mine??!! "Dr.Smiley" said my hypercalcemia could be caused by any number of things (one of them is bad), but "Dr.Smiley" thinks I might be like many kitties who are hypercalcemic and they might never find out what the cause is. Mom and Dad are crossing their paws that is the case.

So, it appears that later this afternoon either Mom or Dad is gonna grab me and stuff me in my PTU yet again.....and take me back to "Dr.Smiley's" evil laboratory where they will steal more of my blood, and then have it sent out via a giant black crow,  mailed out,to be tested. "Dr.Smiley" said we should have the results within about five to seven days.

Furiends, I need your help big time!!!
1) Help me plan an escape at the Vet before they can take more blood!!
2) Cross your paws that if they catch me, I am one of the kitties that they never know why I have hypercalcemia!!!

Kitties and Woofies! I am counting on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel fine! I am playing, eating, peeing, pooping, EVERYTHING! What more do they want from me??

 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
Cody

FROM THE MOM: hypercalcemia can be quite serious and by no means am I not somewhat EXTREMELY worried. The only reason I am allowing Cody to joke about it, is because when I spoke to Dr.Smiley the other day, he told me that HE is NOT worried about the results....Dr.Smiley cared for Angel Bobo for many years before Cody was ever born, and we trust him implicitly. While trust doesn't mean that we are expecting the blood test to come with perfect results, it does mean that if Dr.Smiley tells me he isn't worried about it, then I am doing my best not to worry too!!! Also, finding humor in a tense and worrisome situation helps take the "edge" off of all of us in Cody's family, and if I am laughing, it will enable Cody to be less tense.

Book Review and Give-Away! Sleight of Paw-A Klepto Cat Mystery by Patricia Fry

Today it's our pleasure to bring to you book number three in the Klepto Cat Mystery series by author Patricia Fry, Sleight of Paw.

Back in October, Cody and I had the pleasure of reviewing Catnapped:A Klepto Cat Mystery by Patricia Fry , last week we presented Cat-Eye Witness  and  Sleight of Paw brings as much romance, entertainment, plot twists and suspense as the previous books in the series.

From Matilijapress:Michael Ivey, the local veterinarian and Savannah's new husband is attacked by an enraged client and then later accused of this man's murder. The evidence quickly stacks up against Michael, until Rags, Savannah's kleptomaniac cat, starts digging up clues implicating the unlikely suspect.

Coinciding with the details of this challenge is the discovery that the old house, which the couple purchased from Savannah's aunt, is cursed. Is this why the couple has not been blessed with a child? Savannah's sister Brianna comes for a visit. She teams up with the Iveys' vet tech, Bud, to discover how to break the gypsy spell and they fall hard for each other. Will their courtship be strengthened or weakened by a frightening carjacking incident?

Detective Craig Sledge is prominent in this story as the lead investigator in the murder case. As usual, he engages in some creative tactics to get the information and the confessions he's after. He has also become embedded in Savannah's friend, Iris's family. He's dating Iris and helping with her son, Damon's rehabilitation in prison.

Playing on the definition of the word "Sleight":the use of dexterity or cunning, especially so as to deceive, two positions that cannot be harmonized ,  all "signs" and "evidence" point to Michael as being the killer of the enraged client....but WAS he?

I was pleased with the addition of Savannah's sister, Brianna in this third book of the series. She adds an element of fun, boldness and a free-spirited personality is not only a delight, but is the polar opposite of her more practical sister, Savannah. I eagerly await the next book, where I can see what Brianna adds to the already entertaining series.

If you love mysteries, (or even if you don't, as was the case with me until I began reading the Klepto Cat Mystery series), you will derive great enjoyment from the Klepto Cat books. Sleight of Paw is a quick read at only 258 pages. The character development, dialogue and plot twists make these books ones that I had a hard time putting down. I found myself constantly saying "let me read just one more chapter" as the night grew late. Rather than wanting to sleep, all three books in the series had me grabbing another cup of coffee, rather than my bed covers!

Book Review and Give-Away! Cat-Eye Witness A Klepto Cat Mystery by Patricia Fry

Back in October, Cody and I had the pleasure of reviewing Catnapped:A Klepto Cat Mystery by Patricia Fry and today we are thrilled to present to you book #2 in Patricia's Klepto Cat Mystery series: Cat-Eye Witness!

Those that follow our blog regularly know that over all I am not a huge fan of mysteries. Often I could care less about "who done it?", but  for me the Klepto Cat mysteries series , are completely different, they contain  romance, humor, suspense, interesting character development, and  are the purrfect novels to curl up with on a cozy winter evening or ANYTIME! There is action, entertainment and a "small-town" feel to this series that adds a warm and welcoming touch to this series.

Cat-Eye Witness: A Klepto Cat Mystery, Book 2

Savannah and Aunt Margaret open the old Forster home to the Hammond Cat Alliance for a fundraiser to help rehabilitate the abused horses rescued months earlier from the catnappers. Before the afternoon is over, the collected funds go missing and someone is murdered in an upstairs bedroom.

Suspicion surrounds Iris, a local waitress and Savannah's new best friend. The only witness to the murder is Rags, Savannah's cat. With the assistance of a cat psychic and Rags's good friend, Charlotte (the young girl with Downs), the cat helps to "paw" the killer...but not before an attempt is made on Rags's life.

Some say this is a love story with a mystery in the background.

I began the book on Friday night and could barely put it down. The dialogue moves freely, quickly and held my interest. At 295-pages it is an amazingly QUICK, FUN and INTERESTING read! The plot twists and interesting facts about each character had ME of all people, actually CARING about "who done it?"

I am confident that you will too! So much so, that I asked Patricia if we could hold a give-away (I am sorry, but due to the cost of shipping,  Patricia asked if it could be U.S. only) The give-away is open now and there will be ONE WINNER.  It will be open until Tuesday, January 13th at 5pm EST, and the winner will be chosen via random.org and will be announced Wednesday, January 14th! TO ENTER:leave a comment CLEARLY STATING THAT YOU WISH TO BE ENTERED, that's it! GOOD LUCK!

Our Fifteen Wishes for 2015

A lot sure can change in a year!

This photo was taken approximately one year ago and we felt it was the best one for us to use to welcome 2015!

It is appropriate for us that the first day of the New Year falls on "Thankful Thursday"

Dear Friends, Cody and I cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH for the outpouring of love and good wishes that you have all so generously bestowed on us!!!! We want to thank you all individually, but since we more than likely will inadvertently miss someone, (or a few someones), we wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL, right here!

None of us know what 2015 has in store for any of us,
but here are our wishes for 2015:

1) That all kitties who are ill, hurting, or suffering will be restored to good health and peace in the coming year

2) That kitties who do not have a home will find one

3) That you will all be loved

4) May prosperity be yours!

5) That you have plenty of noms in your bowls

6) That you have an abundance of toys to play with

7) That you have at least ONE wellness trip to the dreaded V-E-T

8) That there be peace among 2 leggers

9) That you have plenty of comfy sleeping spots!

10) That your humans make the time to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!

11) That your humans take less trips, leaving you at home without them!

12)  That you have plenty of fun things to see outside your windows

13) That the number of pets turned into shelters will decrease!

14) That we all stop to give thanks EVERY DAY, not just on Thanksgiving!

15) And last, but not least, and certainly foremost in our minds, we said it already but we will say it again...that KITTIES AND THEIR HUMANS know ONLY good health and good things in 2015!!!!
