BlogPaws Adopt A Pet Month!

Hi every furry! It's Cody! I was adopted by my Mom in 2007 at an adoption event that Petco had and let me tell you, it feels GREAT to have a furever home! Let's make more kitties as lucky as me by sharing this great infographic that our furiends at BlogPaws made!

For those that live in S.E. Michigan, don't forget about the
"Non-Spooky" Halloween Kitties adoption event being sponsored by Michigan Humane and PetSmart on OCTOBER 19TH!! If you missed the blog post for locations, click here.  ADOPTION ROCKS! Love, Cody

  8. I have two shelter cats (Star&Saphira). And two Ragdolls who didn't come from the shelter;) and I saved lady from being abused and neglected, by a nasty woman.. Who doesn't deserve ANY animal!!!! I highly think Lady has also been beaten!

She is very scared of women!

I hope she'll soon learn that there is NO abuse or neglect in my house.... Just love:)

  21. How cool for you Cody. I was adopted at an adoption event also but my peeps had seen me on petfinder.com and arranged to have me at the event. My Aunt brings all her fosters to their Petco for adoption events down in FL.

  22. We're purring for lots of adoptions!
You probably already know this, but I was adopted through PetSmart & the St. Francis Animal Shelter here. ...and Orange Crush was first spotted on Petfinder.com. Glogirly adopted him from the Animal Humane Society.

  25. I wish I could adopt a poor stray to help out, but I'm afraid I'm not ready yet. Avalon's toys and other belongings are still were he left them and I can't imagine another cat taking over Avalon's territory. I know it's selfish when there are so many poor cats who need a home :(

    1. Vanessa it isn't selfish at all. You will KNOW when it is the right time. You must "let time take it's time" and do not beat yourself. You will have another incredibly special kitty to love one day, when it is the RIGHT time.

  27. Dearest Caren,
Our seven felines are lucky for having a forever home. They do give so much back! I have had some feline RN nurses since I got home from major surgery. They sense so well what is going on with you and sweet Barty did snuggle up against my face... so endearing. I had husband Pieter take a photo from three of them (male, well ex-male...) that were with me.
Wishing you a very happy Birthday tomorrow and may you have many more years of feline love.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  28. 8 million homeless pets go to a shelter each year, and only 3.4 million get adopted. That is so sad :(.
