  3. TNR does work! Now, if only we could get our darn local authorities to accept that. They keep insisting that it doesn't (without even trying) and say that the only way is to capture the animals (in the most barbaric way) and having them euthanized. Well, to that I say, if it works, why is the problem never ending?
In our country, animals (dogs, normally) have a bounty on their heads. The dog catchers are paid for each dog they bring in so they sometimes actually CLIMB INTO people's property to catch pets. I'll spare you the details but we have a long way to go....

  4. TNR has to be the best option. Way to go we so agree with JG. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  5. TNR works! We're lucky that our state has special license plates you can get that donate to a fund that then goes out in grants for spay/neuter efforts. One of our local groups just got a grant for their TNR efforts, and we're so excited to see the system working, and know that it means that consciousness was raised in the process.

  8. TBR does work! The naysayers just don't get it and it drives me nuts. We have dedicated groups in some neighborhoods who have to sneak around to work with TNR. They can't even let the neighbors know. How sick is that!

  12. Feral cats are every bit as nice as a house cat. They are just shy. Hope this day helps to make people realize that feral cats are good cats. They just need food and some shelter.

  19. Jackson is an awesome example of a true cat lover. His tips are always so helpful and simple to follow. I agree feral cats deserve love too, but I would definitely get pet health insurance to protect all my animals.

  21. Amen!!!
If people only knew... if they could really see the misery left in bushes and other hide aways, then they would get hold of a megaphone and shout alongside Jackson. There is no way this can be stressed enough! Thanks so much for sharing it - I hope this message reaches a LOT of people. xox

  26. I think it would help a lot of unwanted kittys and litters if people would spay & neuter their beloved furry friends and not release them to the wild, they are not meant to survive in the extreme weather we now have. and there are not enough kind humans to take care of them.
    hugs & purrs...

  31. He's right, you know. Sometimes we don't know where they are. TW and Pop saw a stray little kitten near the highway that they thought was dumped. They called the local rescue group only to find out there's a feral colony a block or two away. TW still doesn't know where exactly that group lives.

  34. It's great to see someone like JG speaking out for the cause. TNR does work. The statistics in our area prove it. But there is still a lot of work to be done.
    Keep spreading the word.
