"Inquiring Minds Want to Know!!"

Hi and Happy Friday!

I am pleased to tell you that today's blog post is brought to you, thanks to Janet from (imagine this, a DOG BLOG!!) Janet's blog is Wag 'N Woof Pets and if you haven't visited it, please do! Mom got her Janets mixed up on my original post so blame the mistake on HER!  Anyway, thanks to Janet,  Mom is actually allowing me to blog!

As most of you know Mom is getting over some nasty sickie that she seems to have contracted somewhere along the way when she went to Atlanta for BarkWorld. She wasn't even going to allow me to blog, but she received some wonderful questions from Janet and decided to let me reply!

1) Are you glad to have Mom home? Are you kidding??!! OF COURSE! I waited and waited for a looong time, it seemed like furever! I was trapped here in "dog hell" with my Dad cooing, oohing and ahhhing over Sheltie boy! You know, as much as my Dad loves me, he is a secret card carrying member of "TEAM DOG!" To add insult to injury, my Mom takes off for an event called BARKWORLD? Seriously? What's wrong with this picture!? That being said, I knew when she returned she had some good stuff for me!

I smell SOMETHING!
Just not sure if it is awful woofie smells
or PRESENTS FOR ME!

Let me look  a little closer
there is SOMETHING
in here for me!
I KNOW IT!

Found it!
Mom brought home a super cool
"Love Glove"
for me
maybe one day she will
let me blog about it!

Check out Love Glove on
www.fourpaws.com

She also brought home laser lights for me!
The rest of the loot she shared with
Christina from Peace, Love & Whiskers

Now back to the questions!

2) Did you take care of Dakota or did he take care of you while she was gone?  Of course it was ME taking care of Dakota. I run the show around here with him. You know that Dakota is a neurotic mess. I try and teach him to be more like me, you know, "never let them see you sweat", don't let them know you missed them, will miss them or that you DO miss them! Keeps them on their toes, ya know? Sheltie Boy followed Dad at every turn. He's a "pack" kinda guy and he just couldn't keep it together, one of his PACK was missing and he was beside himself. He was a sniveling wreck! If it's possible, he barked even MORE! So much so that I STILL have a headache!

3) Did you both have to take care of Dad? Once again that was left up to ME! I don't know what Dad would have done without my 4am wake-up calls! When Mom is here I let everyone sleep a little longer, but with Dad here unsupervised, I was afraid if I didn't wake him up at 4am that we might NEVER EAT! I am sure Dad appreciated my reminders!!!
Dad did do the best that he could. He DID scoop my litter, he gave me my coconut oil every night, he did pet me, overall I think he did a FINE job but he couldn't have done it without me....but....my Mom has "cat mojo" and I needed her to come home, and FAST cause SHE understands me!

Janet, thanks so much for those great questions! (Sorry about the earlier mix-up, Mom was delirious with fever) So now all is right with my world. I have been taking great care of Mom while she has been sick, I have been sleeping next to her and staring at her, just to make sure she is ok, even Dakota has been taking good care of her.

Mom is home, all is good! She better NOT be going ANYWHERE!!

Stay tuned.........

  12. Well Cody I just know you are taking super good care of your sick Mom since she got back from BarkWorld. I wonder if that was some kind of punishment for her deserting you to attend a DOG par-tay?? At least she brought some goodies home for you - that glove thingie looks intriguing - can't wait to hear about it. Please give your Mom a hug from me and my Mom and tell her to GET WELL SOON!

  17. Coconut oil??? This is something I am missing out on. What is it? ???
    Curious Quinn wants to know!!!

    1. Hi!! Coconut oil has become SUPER POPULAR with humans and cats and dogs. It is known to improve an animal's immune system and often can help clear (or prevent) allergies if your pet has them. Cody had been getting horrible hot spots that I always was using steroids for. I hated that he was on steriods so many times throughout the year. It was Paula from the Twinkletoes blog who first told me about the benefits of coconut oil. She even bought me some but I used hers to cook with lol. I bought some about a month ago when Cody was beginning a flareup. It TOTALLY CLEARED the tiny red spot that was forming. I give him a 1/4 tsp on his kibble (he loves it) once a day. That is the recommended dosage per 10 lbs of cat. So far, NO ALLERGY FLAREUPS! NO STEROIDS!! Just google coconut oil and cats, you will see!

I'm sorry for your baby:-( Yeah Tadpole died because I was such an idiot and had him as a outside cat. Then he got bit by a cat or snake and died!!:-( It truly was my fault:-( I wish it NEVER happened!! But I'm grateful he attest died at 14 or 15 years old.So I think he was born in 1990 and died (was killed) in 2005:-( I love him everyday. And I will forever miss him:-(

  26. Cody it is a good thing you stayed home with your Dad, while Mom went to BarkWorld. I don't think your Mom would have recognized your house if you hadn't been there to take care of everything! And this was a fantastic posting too. We hope your Mom is feeling better.

  27. Oopsy....I think you got your "Janets" confused, Cody, I am the Janet from Wag 'N Woof Pets, and I think those were my questions! :) No biggie, just wanted to let you know, and I am so happy you answered my questions anyway!
It certainly was a good thing your Mom had you to hold down the fort while she was gone!

    1. Sorry I blamed you, Cody, I should have known it was MOM who got confused! LOL!! I knew Mom had been sick, and I know those fevers can mess with our heads!

There are so many blogs out there, and I know I get confused sometimes too, as to who goes with what blog, and there are still a lot of blogs that I don't even know the names of the humans behind them!

    2. Whew!!! Mom is so grateful that you understand what happened! She is the same as you! She knows the kitties and doggies but often forgets the HUMANS!!!! Love, Cody
