  3. That really stinks! We have Comcast and so far, we still have CBS.

  4. Haha! I have a few programs I'm crazy for too, the idea of something like that happening to the programs I love would just be so horrible! hugs

  5. You tell 'em Cody! I'm sure a cat with your charm and influence will have them convinced in no time! :D

  6. It is interesting that you guys have Time Warner and Rachel Ray is in CBS. Her show in in our local channel WGN. When we lived in HI Time Warner have lots of issues there too with ABC ... it is all about $$$$ with them. Well hope you get to watch other shows, How about Ellen? Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

    1. Well, we actually have BrightHouse (which we LOVE), it is a subsidiary of Time Warner so that is why we are being affected. Rachael Ray used to be on NBC here but she moved over a year ago. You are right about it all being about the $$$$. Trust me, they will have this resolved before football starts the first week of September. A lot of NFL games are shown on CBS. Ellen is on NBC here and is on at the same time as Rachael Ray. I don't watch Ellen every day anymore. I used to, but I don't.

  9. Can we still watch our shows on CBS.com? Momsy loves Big Brother, too, so we are sure she will be upset if she can't watch the episodes online like usual!

Hopefully they will settle it soon so the humans don't get too cranky! MOL!

    1. I heard two different stories. I heard NO. Time Warner has blocked it. I have cable/internet/phone through Bright House which is a subsidiary of Time Warner. I know that you can't watch "live" I haven't tried to watch the episode from last night today yet, but I might try later. I DO watch Big Brother After Dark. Do you watch that? That is on a totally different network. I am hoping they settle soon too because I am so cranky it is unreal! lol. Plus I have been staying up til 2am watching BB after dark and getting up between 6:30 and 7. NOT GOOD! xoxo

  11. I might watch big brother if a big cute cat face was staring back at me. At least for a little while.

  12. Sorry to hear that the silly dispute has spoilt your TV viewing. You tell em Cody. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  13. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this until you posted about it on FB yesterday. How unbelievably insane...and with how the cable companies operate, you have NO recourse as a customer.

I checked hulu to see if you could watch BB, but apparently they just redirect you to CBS.com.

I also heard that there are a few cable networks affected...like Showtime. I'm a big Dexter fan...it's the whole reason we pay to get Showtime...and I would be LIVID if this happened with our provider.

Time Warner and CBS...you are SHAMEFUL!

    1. Amen Sistah!! Ohhhh wait til I tell Lenny!!!! Hehehe I just did. He LOVES Dexter and was making fun of me about Big Brother. Can't wait to see what he does if this affects the NFL (which you and I both know it won't because of the amount of money involved there). Bright House is planning on crediting customers for losing Showtime but not for CBS because that is "free"

  14. Yikes! It's ridiculous when these big companies fight and everyone else has to pay..

    ReplyDelete
  15. That would be enough to get my sisters hissin' fur sure!

  16. *hisses* Our Mom says way before she invested in Kitty TV (that means us), she used to have ALL the channels even though it was expensive. Then the satellite companies started playing these dispute games. She says she thought it was so unfair, she disconnected everything and spends her money on us now instead! Treats *purrs* Channel disputes *HISS*

  17. We don't watch tv (well, sometimes I watch short videos with Mama on the computer) so I'm not sure what this is, but I'm sorry you can't watch your shows. Me-Ommmmmm

  18. Ugh. And the sad part is that it's all about money and greed. I remember when Cablevision pulled the same stuff years ago. We dropped them and never looked back.

    Good luck!

  19. OH DEAR WE HEARD TWC AND CBS WERE IN TALKS OVER
NCSI SHOWS FOR THE FALL. MOM HAS A SERIOUS CRUSH ON MARK HARMON. MOL MOL MOL
    HUGS MADI

  20. Time Warner learned back in 2000 that it could get the networks to back down by doing this. That was when they pulled ABC and put a banner across the screen on that channel that said "Disney has taken ABC away from you." They had a deal within a day. Now the big conglomerates are fighting over dollars and the customers are the ones who are caught in the middle. We're just going to watch Cat TV and hope it blows over soon.

  21. You tell em' Cody! Our cable was out for a few days and it was a CATastrophie!!!! Hope you get to watch your favorite shows again soon!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Way to go Cody, you give them the what for!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sorry you lost your channel. Hope it is fixed soon. Lee and Phod

  24. Uh oh Cody! This happened with out TV about a year ago. DirectTV was having a dispute with Nickelodeon and some other channels that I don't remember. My boyfriend ended up getting a bunch of channels for free when he complained though.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well that sounds like the last straw!

    ReplyDelete
  26. If that doesn't scare some sense into them, there is no hope. Our mom is happy so long as she has the weather and the local traffic since she's not a big tv watcher.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I may have a solution for you. Well for one show at least. Our version is probably more cringe-worthy than your version.

  28. Adults seem to be acting more and more like spoiled kids. They're gonna take their ball and go home. Greedy corporations make make big enough profits while the 99% get hit harder and harder. Can you watch on CBS.com? You may not be able to watch until the following day, but they should be on there.

  29. Love it! I stay at a friends house monday nights and I was in shock last monday when NBC was no longer on TW. WTH????

  31. When the giant corporations battle, it's always the kitties that pay the price! (Well, okay, the Humans too) Right now the Giant BART unions and the Evil BART management are causing a strike which will of course screw all the riders! The Gov ordered the trains to run but that prolly won't last. Sigh. We hope the Giant Rich Network and the Giant Rich Cable Company settle soon. Sigh.

    Meanwhile--Hulu?

    1. Ugh Spitty! Hoping your situation is resolved soon too! Nope, no Hulu....not paying for anything else!

  32. The more I re-read each and every sentence and paragraph I can't help smell something fishy about this TV station issue, something don't seem quite right.

So many gaps something's a miss?!?!

Also, for all cable viewers of CBS is there a discount on your cable for not having certain channels on your cable TV?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. we're with you! It all seems fishy to us too! The only discount we are supposed to receive is for not having Showtime. Disgusting isn't it? They haven't said a WORD about anything! Brighthouse did send me an email (they are a subsidiary of Time Warner) and they were NOT happy with Timer Warner "pulling the plug" They said that oftentimes the contract negotiations are resolved by leaving the programming in tact.

    2. Wow it really does sound like they have a lot to hide that's a station I would never trust nor support again.

      Delete
  33. WE don't have a problem but we just have that free TV and we only get two stations anyway. Hopefully they get it all fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  34. M & D are mad about this too. They pay enough each month that they should have good consistent service. M says it's a "racket." (wondering - what's a racket?)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well, I prefer to be watching you, Cody! You look good on that TV :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. ...and you had better watch out or he just come over and pee on you, too!

    Purrs,
    Nissy

PS. I mean that Big Brother might go pee on CBS and Time Warner. Not on you, Cody. Of course, not on you. purrs

    ReplyDelete
  37. You tell 'em, Cody!! We're not affected (this time) but we have been before and know how annoying it is. Once again, the consumer gets caught inbetween two big greedy businesses, when we're the ones that will end up paying for it anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Do what I do. Hook a digital antenna to one of your TV sets. Cable or satellite problems? Who cares? That is, of course, if you are not too far out in the boondocks!
