Come Fly With Me To My House Sammy!!!

Hi my furiends, it's Cody! There is a special event going on tomorrow, (hosted by Madi and Easy),  in honor of our dear friend Sammy from One Spoiled Cat.  (This post was written before we heard the shocking news yesterday of Easy going to the bridge. We are devastated, simply devastated. For those of you who follow Dakota, we posted there). Sammy posted today that Easy would have wanted the event to go on as scheduled, so here is the special event that Madi and Easy created. The event is called:

Here is what everyone is supposed to do:

"WE ARE ASKING EVERYBUDDY TO FIND A PLACE IN THEIR CITY, STATE, COUNTRY OR HOME THAT YOU THINK SAMMY WOULD LOVE TO VISIT.
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE SAMMY LOVES TO TRAVEL.
PREPARE A SHORT POST TELLING SAMMY ALL ABOUT THE LOCATION.
THEN LICKETY SPLIT YOU ARE READY AND YOU HAVE A POST READY FOR
FRIDAY DECEMBER 2."

Because we have a sponsored obligation for tomorrow, we are doing our post a day early because we love Sammy and his Mom so much and we do NOT want to miss out!

We have no place exciting to share,  just our backyard, because sometimes "all you are looking for is right in your own back yard!!"

In our case, we think Sammy would enjoy seeing these silly geese that came by the other day! You know what Mom calls them? "BILL COLLECTORS!!" MOL MOL! Because geese have "bills!!" Get it??? MOL!!

I think Sammy would enjoy sitting in my cat tree with me watching these guys out the window.

So what do you think Sammy? I sure wish you could come over and join me!!! Love you pal, always will, Mom does too and we love your sweet Mom as well!!

Thanks to Dory for posting the linky early so we could participate early!!

Cat Book: Celebrating the FIRST-EVER National Tabby Day with a Give-Away of The Extraordinary Life of Buffy the Cat by Sandy Robins and Paul Smulson

It is an honor to be among a number of bloggers who were contacted to help spread the word about the "FIRST-EVER" National Tabby Day (which will take place on April 30th), and to help share the news about an adorable and hilarious new book The Extraordinary Life of Buffy the Cat with brilliant photos  by Dr.Paul Smulson and witty captions by Author Sandy Robins  that will have you rolling on the floor like a cat with catnip!!! It is just too witty and adorable!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Sandy Robins for a number of years now, after having met at  a host of blogging conferences/events. She is a complete and total delight in person! Sandy Robins is an award-winning multimedia pet lifestyle expert, author and radio, TV and pet industry personality. She is also Paul Smulson’s BFF (which also stands for Buffy Fan Forever)

Dr. Paul Smulson
has practiced oral surgery for 35 years. He worked as a photojournalist for the Chicago Daily Defender during the Michael Jordan era and has had photographs appear in Sport Magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times and Fox Sports’ Beyond the Glory. He photographed zoo animals for years before focusing on Buffy.

FROM THE PUBLISHER:Born into the body of an orange tabby, Buffy has experienced life in a way most humans never do. Making the Most of All Nine Lives documents Buffy as he trades hairballs for golf balls, scratching posts for the Evening Post and meowing a yawn for mowing the lawn. With this great new collection of thoughts and photos Buffy has transcended from litter box to literature. No cat owner’s library is complete without this delightful yarn.

DID YOU KNOW?
that the term "tabbies" refers to a coat pattern and is NOT a cat breed? Talk about embarrassing! I have been a "Tabby Mom" since late 1989 and I did NOT know this until recently! "A tabby is any domestic cat that has a coat featuring distinctive stripes, dots, lines or swirling patterns, usually together with a mark resembling an 'M' on its forehead." No wonder when I would try to research the "breed" Tabby" NOTHING would come up! That is beyond EMBARRASSING!

My Angel Bobo

Cody has the distinctive "M" on his forehead and some classic Tabby stripes and dots on his neck, legs and belly, but isn't nearly as distinctively  a "Tabby" as my Angel Bobo was, as seen in the photo above.

Bobo was with me for 18 years and was the first Tabby cat to steal my heart! He was the original inspiration for this blog and it is ultimately dedicated to Bobo and Cody.

The Extraordinary Life of Buffy the Cat stars one of the most handsome orange tabby cats you will ever meet! (Ok, we bloggers know a number of handsome orange tabbies, but Buffy is right up there with them!) The book is 128 pages packed with the most darling photos you will ever see, it is small, (5x6), which makes it the perfect size to carry with you!

Neither Bobo nor Cody would ever allow me to take the creative and UNPHOTO-SHOPPED (is that a word?) photos that you will see in this darling book! That is just part of what makes Buffy so extraordinary, he is truly a "one-in-a-million cat!"

Sandy Robins creatively and often hilariously puts Buffy's "thoughts behind his actions into words so that cat lovers everywhere can live vicariously, enjoying this amazing feline's people skills and escapades."

"Let's solo the piano now.
But I'm going to give the
pedals a skip."

Paul Smulson had "spent most of my life feeling ambivalent toward cats", until his neighbor's cat had kittens and he and his wife adopted two of them. He soon discovered that "there was a besotted cat person hidden inside of me."

One day, he put headphones on Buffy and reached for his camera. To his amazement, Buffy sat for five minutes holding different poses while he snapped away. He couldn't decide who was having more fun during these photo sessions, Buffy or himself.

FROM PAUL SMULSON: From my own personal transformation into a cat lover, I learned that I was not unique. Many people don't realize they are cat lovers until they get an opportunity to interact with a cat. My hope is that by enjoying this book, more people will give cats a chance so that ultimately more deserving felines find love and forever homes.

Happy 2nd Blogoversary Sammy & Pam! Also: The Mystery Of David's Bridge by Pamela June Kimmell

OH MY CAT today is a special day! Today is the SECOND blog-oversary of my buddy Sammy's blog:  One Spoiled Cat!
Sammy's blog banner was used
WITHOUT PURRMISSION
FROM SAMMY'S MOM PAM!!
Isn't he just too adorable?
TO VISIT SAMMY
AND WISH HIM A HAPPY BLOG-O-VERSARY
CLICK
HERE!

Many of you who read my blog are familiar with Sammy and his Mom (Pam)! You know that on Tuesdays,  Sammy has a fun feature called Tuesday Teaser.  This is where Sammy posts pictures from various vacations that his Mom and  Dad have taken, and he  has his readers guess where they think the photos were taken. Mom and I NEVER guess correctly, but it is so much fun to see  try to cheat, when we see everyone else's answers!

Right now Sammy is having a Jammie contest, in honor of his PJ pawty which is on his blog today!

Sammy and his Mom are incredibly caring, thoughtful and fun, and my Mom and I consider them to be two of  our dearest and incredibly special furiends!

I have featured Sammy's talented Mom, (Pam) on Cat Chat before, because she happens to be a talented artist and author!!

I am happy to tell all of you mystery lovers out there that Pam's book: The Mystery of David's Bridge is now available on KINDLE!!!

Did you know that Pam
PAINTED this beautiful cover?
YEP she DID!!
Here is a description of Pam's book, as seen pilfered from Amazon.com:

Bailey Ferrol is a young private investigator in a very small Virginia town where most people think a P.I. just might be rather bored and starved for some intrigue. David's Bridge isn't your typical small town though. The large estates surrounded by iron gates can't hold the secrets kept within. Bailey's job to do background investigations for an open position on one of the large horse estates turns into something decidedly sinister. It also puts a touch of romance into her life in an unexpected way. Small towns sometimes have big secrets to hide and Bailey finds that out and more in this entertaining mystery read.

We are hoping that Sammy's Mom sells A LOT of books, so go on over and check it out. While you're at it, don't forget to wish Sammy and Pam the HAPPIEST of Blog-o-versaries!!

We Love You Pam & Sam!!!
