Fun Friday Finds!!! Cat Toys By KONG!!!

Hi everyone and T.G.I.F.!!! It's Frrrriiiiday!!!

Time to kick up your paws, settle back and get ready for a FUN weekend!

I have some catabulous toys to show you that are made by the cool people at KONG  that will help you do just that!

Mom has loved KONG for quite some time because as everyone knows, KONG established "the standard" for dog toys. When it comes to dogs and toys EVERYONE knows about KONG! KONG is the producer of "World's Best Dog Toy!"

KONG wanted  to apply their standards for perfection that they utilized to produce their dog toys  and make durable and fun toys for kitties as well!

Kitties need to play too! Regular play keeps us healthy and happy. We need toys that encourage us to stalk, hunt, capture prey and even scratch! KONG fulfills that need!

Most of the toys that I received to try out  are from KONG'S new Denim line of cat toys! They are so NEW that they aren't even on their website !

Being a cat, and the fact that I like to aggravate Mom, we don't play on DEMAND. Mom introduced me to each toy that I am going to show you, at different times, but would I even THINK of playing with them IN FRONT OF HER? OF COURSE NOT! Would I play with them when it was pitch dark when there was no camera in my face? YES. That's exactly what I did and that is why there are no photos of me enjoying my new toys!

Here is the collection of toys
that I received!
The first toy that I want to tell you about is the KONG Denim Kickeroo!

KONG Denim Kickeroo
KONG KICKEROO

Are filled with a generous amount of catnip.

Large and cuddly, perfect for bunny kicking, wrassling, snoozing and cuddling.

Has a fluffy tail for extra fun!

The KONG Denim Kickeroo has a cute "jeans pocket" in the front where your human may  add extra catnip, or  they could even choose to  hide a treat!

My only complaint? The catnip is described as "potent". Mom  has opened toys where I could literally smell the catnip through the packaging. That is not the case with any of the KONG toys containing catnip. I LOVE KONG but I think their catnip could use a little improvement!

Next up...

KONG Denim "Snails"
Are these clever or what?

Kitties will love the "crinkle sound" and unique texture and they also are infused with KONG's North American catnip.

They are super  durable for hard-playin' cats!

I'm a kinda guy with an intense attraction to anything that has FEATHERS! KONG fulfills my fancy for feathers with:

KONG Denim Ball With Feathers

This fun toy also has a "crinkle sound", a unique texture and is infused with North American catnip. If you are a feather connoisseur as I am, you will delight in the downy feathers tickling your nose. Super light to the touch, mega-swattable. You're gonna love 'em!

Ok my friends, I saved one of my ALL TIME favorite toys for LAST! Check it out!!

KONG Active Laser Toy
Oh myyy CAT was I ever excited when Mom opened the packaging on this one! From KONG'S Active line, laser lights are one of my all time faves and this one is super cool! It is small enough for Mom to hide it in her hand, which doubles the fun cause all of a sudden when I least expect it, a laser light show begins! When I see that it's ALL SYSTEMS GO! I'm off to the races! I will run, jump and chase that elusive red light anywhere that it may go. I have been known to scale walls, slide on the floor, anything I can think of to catch that light. You know what? I rarely win. I pretend I am hunting prey and one day I am gonna catch that light, just you wait!!

So my friends as I said it's Frrriiiiday and the weekend is all about play! Grab whatever human holds the purse strings and tell them you want some new CAT TOYS BY KONG!!!  You can check out more KONG CAT TOYS RIGHT HERE or at many of your local pet stores!

Why should DOGS have all the fun??

I was not compensated for this post. The nice people at KONG gave me some great toys to play with so that I may tell you about them. All opinions are my own. Rest assured that now that this review is over, I will play with EACH and EVERY KONG toy MULTIPLE times. If nothing else, just to aggravate my Mom!!!

New Cat Toys from KONG, "Cozies"

Before I go any further let me begin by saying that I have a LAZY cat! He has fun and adorable toys right at his paw-tips,  and there he is moving in slo-mo...  L-A-Z-Y! There! Thank you for indulging me! I feel MUCH better now!

A few days before I left for the BlogPaws conference I received some cat toys to test/review from the new KONG Cat Product line.

We all know that when it comes to dog toys, KONG is a household word, now KONG has developed a large assortment of products to help promote healthy play in cats and they are of the same fine quality that we have come to associate with the KONG brand.

This is the KONG Cozie Kickeroo!
The first thing I noticed was how incredibly soft it is.
It is perfect for bunny kicking or for
a tired kitty to lay it's head on when napping.
It has a fuzzy tail and contains
KONG'S North American catnip

If Cody exerted any more energy, (not! The above videos are evidence of exactly why I call him "Lazy") we would be in big trouble. In fairness these were filmed in the morning when Cody was quite sleepy. I am certain tonight he will be chasing these toys with everything he's got!
This is KONG'S Crinkly Cat Cozie
It is also soft and cuddly,
it has a precious face that resembles a raccoon
and also contains KONG's premium North American catnip

Playtime for cats is an important part of their day, as it affords exercise, it reduces stress, it allows cats to have an outlet for their instinctive hunting/chasing behaviors and it alleviates boredom, (primarily in the case of indoor kitties like my Cody!)

These are KONG's Cozie Rollers
One ball makes a rattle sound
and the other also contains
KONG'S premium North American catnip
and it has natural feathers and makes a crinkly sound!

Here we go, a "Cozie" GROUP HUG!
Be sure to check out more of
KONG'S Cat Toys at:

In full disclosure I was not compensated for this blog post. All opinions are mine (and Cody's!) We were given the Cozie toys to test/review.

Catnip Toys By KONG!!

When you hear or see the name KONG, if you are like me your first thoughts are that KONG creates and manufactures durable and fun pet toys.
KONG Misfits

You may also think of DOG toys, not cat toys because most of us are just familiar with the fact that KONG makes some of the best dog toys around.

You can kick the above mentioned, antiquated thought to the curb because KONG has added CATNIP toys to their itinerary.

Cody and I were excited to be given the opportunity of testing/reviewing two catnip toys by KONG.

The first toy that Cody and I  tested was called KONG Misfits (on the package the last "s" is written backwards, so cute!)
The two "Misfits" lol

From the description on the package: "The blend of textures on the KONG Misfits tempts cats to play. The long braided limbs allow cats to claw, paw, carry and kick the KONG Misfits, and the soft plush body invites snuggling and cudding. A generous portion of KONG's premium North American catnip helps entice play and gives the successful hunter an added reward."

Mom's review:
Colorful, adorable, clever, durable, darling name, unique. I was excited to have Cody play with it. Contained nothing that he could choke on or otherwise hurt himself with. To me it had WINNER written all over it.

Cody's Review:
I am less than enthused. There doesn't seem to be much of a catnip scent because I looked at it for about 2 seconds and walked away. It could be due to the fact that Mom likes it so much that I don't. It may also be a case where I won't be playing with it now, but 3 months from now when I find it in my toy basket it will be the hottest thing in town. You know how we cats are. You love it, we don't. Or, we will decide we love it when WE want to love it.
KONG Tennis Ball Fish

The other toy that Cody tested was the KONG Tennis Ball Fish.  Once again from the description on the package: "The Tennis Ball Fish combines a cat-sized tennis ball with soft plumes of feathers, tempting your cat to stalk and chase this toy." It also contains catnip.

Cody's Review:
I LOVED this toy! I actually played with it for more than 5 minutes. I could smell the catnip (Mom thinks) in this one because I played and played with it! I wrestled it, I chewed it, kicked it, I tried to keep eating the feathers!! We have a WINNER!!!!

Mom's Review:
Love the bright almost neon green color (the color makes it easy to find this toy  in a sea of other toys!), it is incredibly clever the way the "fish" is constructed out of the tennis ball and feathers. It is also highly durable. Downside, did I mention the feathers? Feathers make me nervous, at least with Cody. He EATS them. He doesn't just nibble them. He grunts, chomps and completely tries to inhale them.  He cannot be left alone with a toy that has feathers on them, if he is, the toy will be "de-feathered" in no time. I have concerns as to what feathers would do to a cat's digestive tract because this toy is QUITE feathery and the feathers are in long, wispy, thin strands. It could just be my personal paranoia, but they make me nervous. As Cody said, he LOVES this toy!

All in all I definitely would suggest checking out these two toys. Every cat is different, what bores one may easily send another into a frenzy of feline frenetic fun. Each cat Mom is unique as well. What might make one Mom nervous, may have no affect on another. KONG has an excellent reputation for well constructed, creative products. With the name KONG behind the toys, I doubt you can go wrong.

In full disclosure, Cody and I received no compensation for this review. Cody benefited from receiving some FUN new toys to test/review and I reap the reward of relishing watching him play with at least ONE of them!
