My Secret Paws Reveal!!!

Hi furiends! It's Cody! Before I get to the "big reveal" of who Secret Paws was and the amazing prezzies that I received, Mom and I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Mom Paula of Sweet Purrfections for all of the hard work she does each and every year matching us with our Secret Paws, giving us shipping tips and so much more! Mom and I have pawticipated in a few Secret Paws, we missed last year and we regretted it, but this year we are back!

When my Secret Paws box arrived I could not wait to get into it!

Everything was so nicely wrapped! I didn't know what to go to first but Mom said it was impawtant to read my card first. She said that is the polite thing to do, that one should ALWAYS read the card first. Mom said how in the world would I know who everything was from if I didn't read the card first? (Mom is actually not that bright cause I could have opened everything and THEN read the card, I still would have known who sent everything...but I digress).

Mom got all teary-eyed because the card I received was personal and they also included Chanukah on the card which Mom thought was extremely thoughtful.

If you look closely you can see who my presents were from, can you see? Wait! I will make sure that you can see!!!

Now you can see it for sure!!!! It was from Real Cats Paisley & Webster from The Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles!!!  I was sooo excited and so happy! I love Paisley & Webster and let me tell ya, they REALLY know how to pawchase the best gifts! (One in particular you will see on a future blog post because Mom wants to devote an entire post to it.). Here are some photos of what I received!

Mom says I was super interested in that adorable stocking and of course the treats! I'm all about treats!

Let's see, there were some cat nip toys, (Mom thinks the blue mouse is adorable), catnip joints (don't worry, I won't inhale....much...) and, after those joints there are TONS AND TONS of cat treats for when I have the munchies!!

See the red blanket that everything is on? That is a really cozy blanket/mat with a pouch to put catnip in! Mom immediately put it on the armrest of the couch where I like to sit when I watch TV with Mom, but she forgot to take a photo. (Hopefully I can have her take a photo soon!)

This is another shot of all my goodies!!! I just might get into those joints on New Years Eve, we will see!!

World Thank You Day!

Hi my furiends! It's Cody and in case you didn't know, today is World Thank You Day !

Saying "thank you" is important EVERY day of the year, not just when the calendar tells us to! Today, I have some "thank-yous" to say!

See my "buzzed" look above? See what is lying next to me? Well, that catabulous Yeowww!! Nip Nanner was sent to me by my furiend Rachel from Three Chatty Cats and Cat Lady Alley. (If you aren't familiar with her blogs, they are "must-reads" so be sure to check them out!) I have blogged about the Yeowww! line of catnip toys a few times, but Rachel didn't know that. Rachel must have had ESP because nip nanners are one of my all time faves and mine was a zillion years old and was all ratty and over-loved drooled on!

Totally "nipped" out!

Rachel was sweet and sent that Nanner to me because for some reason I wasn't receiving blog posts from her newest blog, Cat Lady Alley, and I completely missed the chance to enter her holiday contest called "12 Days of Give-Aways."  Mom and I had subscribed to her blog the day she announced the blog was beginning, and didn't know there had been a give-away til another blogger blogged about winning a prize. Mom wrote to Rachel telling her that something must have happened because her posts were no longer coming to our email,  (it appears it happened to someone else too!) and Rachel was soo sweet and felt so bad for me that she said she wanted to send me a prezzie of my own!! A Nip Nanner just for me!!! Mom and I were deeply touched by Rachel's kindness because she sure didn't have to do that. "Rachel, THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!! You made me so happy!" You can see how much I enjoyed it in the video below, (I am so sorry that for some reason the video came out kind of fuzzy, but you get the idea!!)

I could not be happier with my surprise! I will be buzzed for weeks!

Now, we have another thank you to say but we don't know who sent this to me!!

This came from Amazon, (as did Rachel's surprise), but didn't have a note included. Mom thinks she might have won this on a dog blog (because she remembers receiving a card or an email saying Dakota won, but she can't find the card or email, and can't remember who it was!) The person had said they were sending something for both Dakota and I. Mom and I want to give a proper thank you but we can't until we know who it was that sent this to me!

Mom STILL has our holiday cards hanging up so when she takes them down (hopefully soon), she will check the back of the cards again and see if she can find out who it was that sent this most thoughtful prezzie!! I LOVE MOUSEYS!!! Mom won't let me play with it til she finds out who sent it so that she can video me playing with it.

Also, we received a number of holiday cards AFTER we had sent out ours, and because it was too close to the New Year to mail them, and Mom didn't want to send them so late, there are a few people who sent us cards that we didn't get to acknowledge or reciprocate. We are SORRY and we say THANK YOU!!!!  Each and every card was most appreciated!

Last, but not least, thanks to ALL OF YOU for being such good furiends. You are all pawesome and we think the world of you!!

Secret Paws Moved Mountains to Get Here!!

Ok, that might be a slight HUGE exaggeration, but once you hear who my Secret Paws is, you will see what I mean!

Silly me, I forgot to say hi to all of you!! Hope every furry is doing well!

I am so excited buzzed from all of the Valerian Root that I received, that I can barely think straight to tell you about who my Secret Paws is!!

This past Tuesday was a day like any other.  I was laying around, watching the clock, wondering if it was too soon to start whining for dinner when Dad came in with a box! Mom looked up and said, "Oh!! I bet that is from Cody's Secret Paws!!"

The second Mom and I looked at the labels on the box, we knew EXACTLY who it was from!

It was from Pixie and Zorro of the Swiss Cats Blog!!!

 Mom and I could barely contain our excitement! Mom has been obsessed with Switzerland ever since she first saw Heidi starring Shirley Temple. Mom has always wanted to visit Switzerland and receiving a package from there is probably as close as she is ever going to get to BEING there!  I wanted to inspect the package more closely to see if I could smell The Alps!!

The second the box was opened I KNEW that there was something or some THINGS that smelled intoxicating!!! I could not wait to get a closer look!

Mom said before I could do that, I mustn't be greedy, I had to read the card that Pixie and Zorro's Mom, Claire, had taken the time to write for me:

After I read the lovely note that  Claire, Pixie and Zorro had written for me, it was time to get down to the serious business of opening presents!! I didn't know where to begin!

It didn't take me long before I zeroed in on the one that I would open first!

It was a super cute catnip pillow that had Christmas colors on it and it had Valerian Root inside!! I LOVE IT!!

Mom took a video of me playing with it too!

There was a cat tunnel that Mom said was the nicest she has EVER seen!

You will see a better photo of this further down in the blog where it is shown open....but in the meantime, Mom is dying for you to see one of HER favorite gifts that Pixie, Zorro and Claire sent to me!  Mom says it is the most adorable Santa Mouse she has EVER seen!

I just LOVE mice and I LOVE the color red!! This little guy is gonna be LOTS of fun!!! But...I'm not done yet! I received another catnip kicker that is called the Wild Catnip Stick,  that is ALSO red:

After I played with this one, I was pretty buzzed, it was time to let the room spin 'round and round....

Did you notice how I just STOPPED? Yep kitties, that was it for me! All of that nip and Valerian Root got to me and I slept for HOURS and HOURS after I was done playing. Don't worry, I was fine and I DID make sure I got up for my 10pm snack    buffet!!! 

Guess what kitties? Claire, Pixie and Zorro didn't forget my Mom either, they included a beautiful Swiss calendar where Mom can live vicariously and gaze at scenes of Switzerland and pretend that she lives there!!

Isn't that beautiful!? Mom LOVES it and is touched that Claire included Mom in the Secret Paws box as well! 

We Want To Say Thank You!!

to Pixie, Zorro and Claire for picking out such pawesome, fun and thoughtful gifts!!!! You can see all of them in the photo below and you will also see the tunnel unfolded in this photo. The artwork on the tunnel is unique and Mom is in love with it! I am too! I normally don't use tunnels much but Mom was shocked when I immediately went inside this one, she tried to get photos but I wouldn't look out of the hole, so she gave up.

These gifts are just catabulous and Mom and I will put them to good use!! THANK YOU!!! We would also be remiss if we didn't thank Mom Paula from Sweet Purrfections and her kitties,  the hostesses, Truffle and Brulee for all of their hard work on Secret Paws 2015!!

 It isn't easy coordinating all of the purrticipating kitties, giving us all of the information we need to mail our gifts, etc., etc., and we want Mom Paula to know how much we appreciate her hard work!!!

The Secret Paws event is one of our favorite of the year, and without Mom Paula, Truffle and Brulee, we wouldn't have all of the fun that we have with it, so THANK YOU!!!
