#Ad "The Devil Made Me Do It!" #NutrishPets

Rachael Ray Nutrish has sponsored this post, but all opinions are my own.

Hi my furry (and fur-less friends!!)  It's Cody, and today I am here because I MUST tell you how I was treated with the UTMOST disrespect !!  While other kitties were being adored on National Cat Day, I was being scolded and completely humiliated!

Allow me to re-create the sequence of events for you, and trust me, no matter what lies my Mom tells you about what happened, it is I who is telling the truth!!

Now that Mom is doing some part time work at home, in addition to her  OUR blog, she divides up in what room she does what. She does her work that is not blogging work in her (our!) office, and does her blogging from the dining room table which is a ***** NIGHTMARE! (Kitties remember that word NIGHTMARE because that is impawtant.)

I like to keep Mom company in our office, so, here we were, I was looking at Mom and being my adorable self as you can see below.

I did the adorable "dangle" with my paw and stared at Mom trying to get some attention. Having pulled out all of the stops, and STILL not getting Mom to pay attention to me, I decided to take a snooze.

All was fine in our world, (except for me getting the proper amount of attention that I so deserve!!) That night Mom and I did our usual "hand-holding" while watching TV. Then...the following morning, Mom's "Evil Twin" reared her ugly head!!

II had to think of SOMETHING to get attention from Mom!! I often get bored at night, and while I was waiting to jump on my Dad's head for my Nutrish breakfast, I decided to surprise Mom and "fix up" the dining room table where she does all of our blogging. THIS would DEFINITELY please her and get me a TON of ATTENTION! I worked quite hard, I must say! I even tossed some items on to the floor to Dakota to see if he could dispose of,  eat  some of Mom's mess!

Once I was finished, I could barely contain myself! I was excited because I couldn't wait for Mom to see how much I helped! When she got up, I hid, listened as she went out to look at the dining room table **** which remember kitties, I said  is ALWAYS a NIGHTMARE, and she proceeded to lose her mind. What an ingrate!!! Why she didn't appreciate that I knocked her paperwork, boxes, and checkbook to Timbuktu is beyond me!! Mom LOVES coffee, so why was she so upset that while I was trying to fix her mess up for her, I decorated her checkbook, bills and the oriental rug under the table with her favorite brew? Yep, there wasn't a drop left in the mug that SHE left on the table. But there was quite a bit of that caffeine goodness all over the table, floor, chairs, rug and Mom's papers! I think I did a darned good job, but Mom certainly was NOT appreciative of all of my hard work!

After Mom yelled at me (while I wasn't even around), for what seemed like forever, she decided to go and get Dakota and I a Halloween "costume." Dakota and I HATE costumes, but this year Mom didn't care.  She was upset with me, and not thrilled with Dakota either, so she was on a mission!! Here is what she had the NERVE to put on me!!!

No those devil horns are NOT photo-shopped on my head!
That is an actual hat that Mom purchased!!

It it wasn't for my delicious Nutrish that Mom and Dad feed me EVERY DAY, I would be OUTTA HERE!!!! My fave is the Real Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe: Real chicken or fish is always the number one ingredient in every bag of Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® for Cats. There's no ground corn, wheat or soy. And there's never any poultry by-product meals, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives. Just real meat or fish and wholesome veggies plus the vitamins, minerals and taurine your cat needs to be healthy and happy.

A portion of Nutrish proceeds go to Rachael’s Rescue®, which was created to help animals in need. To date, over $14MM has been donated. This money has gone toward food, medical supplies and treatments for these unfortunate animals.

All of the Rachael Ray Nutrish products are available where you shop for your family’s groceries, making specialty recipes accessible and convenient for every pet parent.

"Mama didn't raise no fool", so as long as I have Nutrish in my bowl, I guess I will hang around!! Have a Happy Halloween all!!!

  4. That first picture, Cody ... looks like you're saying, "Come ... pull up a chair ... and let me tell you what I've survived!" I'm always cleaning up my Momma's messes too ... and they act like WE made the mess. Well, fine! Let them live in their filth! I even packed up my suitcase in today's post on our blog ... that'll show them! :) ~Bear Cat

  23. How could she! You worked so hard at clearing the table for her, and then she humiliates you with those devil's horns.

  24. Oh my goodness! Cody, you worked so hard and that's the thanks you get?? To add insult to injury, the lady thinks you look so cute in that costume.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's so unfair that you had to go through all that, Cody. She at least could have gotten you a hat that fit!

  28. Humans seriously don't appreciate or understand the things we do for them sometimes. It is quite unfortunate. It sounds like you did a lot to help your mom out with her table set up there, and for her to punish you by making you wear those horns?! UNACCEPTABLE!!!

    1. EXACTLY!!! You understand!! I worked soooooooooo hard and I get punished? NOT FAIR!!!! xoxo

  36. Dear Cody, it appears your efforts have backfired, we are sorry to say. We certainly understand the need for attention. However we suggest next time you put your rennovation plans in WRITING and get written authorization before proceeding just as any contractor or decorator would do..
Otherwise, as you can see misunderstandings are comnon between 4-legged furrballs and the peeps, who just don't get it all the time. While we do understand your point of view, having just redecorated a few rooms ourselves, we do suggest "official" approval from humans before proceeding. Good luck with that costume, apparently you don't' like it but you do look cute! Signed, "Those who know"

  38. Okay, the only thing we can see that your mom would get upset about is that the coffee SHE left out missed a spot. We just can't see what else it'd be.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh dear me...said petcretary...and we just giggled a bit...sorry...but sometimes we indulge in those activities too...esp dog-guy! Yup, you should have blamed all of that on Dakota!

Minko even helped petcretary need a new confuser once...coffee or any liquid in a laptop is like instant death to said implement...and you know, it was fun to have her pay us attention instead of that silly confuser, Tee-hee...shhh, we didn't tell you this so if you play *that* game you will have to take full 'sponsibility yourself, MOL!!

That is a jolly evil devilcat we saw in that picture, surely not you, Cody, it couldn't be!

  40. Cody it seems your mom didn't appreciate your talents as interior decorator. Maybe you should stick to doing your adorable "dangle" of the paw :)
