Cody channels Geraldo Rivera in honor of National #Hairball Awareness Day! Enter to win a FURminator® of your own!

The last Friday in April (which is April 26 in 2013) is designated as a time to recognize the hazards of hairballs and take steps to eliminate them.

Nasty and dangerous hairballs don’t have to be a part of a cat’s lifetime routine. FURminator deShedding Tools, which are used and recommended by professional groomers and veterinarians, reduce shedding and hairballs by up to 90%. Using a FURminator at home to remove the cat’s undercoat for a few minutes twice a week can relieve pet owners of the mess of loose fur and hairball worries.

FURminator invited bloggers everywhere to groom their cats with FURminator deShedding Tools, mount the removed fur onto paper mustaches, take photos of their feline fashionistas and post the photos on social media sites (including FURminator’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/FURminator).

Cody and I were asked  to help spread the word that hairballs are more than unpleasant messes, they are signs of potential health problems. But nobody told us HOW HARD it would be to put a mustache on a CAT! See for yourselves!

First, it is important to try and EAT your mustache. After all, it SMELLS like YOU  so it MUST be delicious, right?

Here is our final attempt at putting on Cody's FURminator® mustache! That fur is all Cody's that we accumulated from our FURminator® !!!

Not bad eh? How do you like the uncanny resemblance to:

do you think Geraldo made his mustache
with a FURminator® ?
But I digress!

Want to gather fur AND prevent hairballs by making your OWN furry mustache?  With options for both small and large breeds, the FURminator line enables cat owners to easily find the right size product for their pet. In addition, each size tool offers both long and short hair varieties for optimal results.

This is OUR  FURminator®
and it even has all kinds
of fur on it!

ENTER TO WIN!! The kind people at FURminator®  have generously offered to give ONE LUCKY PERSON IN THE U.S. A  FURminator®  of their own!  This is a $49.99 value!

  9. HACKA...HACKA...HACKA... oops, sorry A.Caren, had a big one in my throat...not sure why,I only groom 17 hours a day!!!! Mom loves stepping in those at 4 am hee hee! Seriously though,My sister Topaz and I pride ourselves on our salon quality grooming habits but we end up with a lot of the fuzzies in our gut and that does NOT make our Mom happy. She brushes us but it just doesn't quite cut it somedays. I also wanted to mention that my man Cody is SOOOOOOO much better looking than Geraldo...yep,they share the stache...but Cody is PUUURRRRFECTLY handsome;)! We would love to give our Mom this for Mother's Day to make her life and footsteps in the wee hours a little more pleasant. Thank you,Rosie the Ravishing Calico heehee..

  37. Hey there! Neat stachio.

I can't enter the contest 'cause I'm here in Canada but... your post reminded me that I hadn't told you that... MY BIRD ARRIVED! Yes, it did. And it had MY name on the package and everything. That was neat as neat gets, I think. Of course, Constance stole it immediately. Then Seville wanted it. It's okay though. I'm not up to much playin' right now but after my surgery on Wednesday, I'll be gettin' that bird back, for sure!

I'm so sorry I didn't tell you 'bout this on Friday. But rest assured, it arrived safely and I'm THRILLED TO BITS!

    Purrs,
    Nissy
