Cody, aka "Wascally Wabbit" Or "Rabbit Boy"

Hi everybody, and Happy "Furday", it's me, Cody. Haven't talked to you in a while, so while Mom is getting ready to leave for the vet soon, I thought I would try and turn on this thing that she is obsessed with the majority of the day and write to you. I HAVE to let you know what she is doing to me NOW.

I know my Mom told you I had a sore or two on my head that wasn't making me feel very good. We went to the Kitty Doctor and he gave me some medicine. They sort of cleared up but then a day or two ago my Mom noticed one of them coming back. The Kitty Doctor said if they got worse to let him know. It was ok yesterday but I must have been scratching when my Mom didn't see and one of them is a little wet and irritated with blood again.

Rats!! If I had known what was going to happen I never would have scratched it. Being the obsessive-compulsive, neurotic Mom that she is, who does she go and call? Bingo! The Kitty Doctor or the man with the glasses and deceptively smiling face and gentle hands who very soon is going to be inflicting culinary torture. (I know, I heard them plotting their little scheme!)

I always know when Mom is calling him cause she gets all frantic and says "This is Caren Gittleman, Cody's Mom", whenever I hear her say that I know I am probably not gonna like what is coming but this time she and the veterinary "Master Chef" are going too far! Hey I love this guy I really do but when you mess with my food you are crossing the line pal! It is an environmental allergy I know it! Don't go messing with my food!!!

Bottom line is Mom is going to go and get more meds today and she is picking up food made with RABBIT! RABBIT DO YOU HEAR ME? RABBIT!! Poor "Little Rabbit Foo-Foo" I had NOTHING to do with this! I repeat NOTHING! Uh, Mom, last I looked I don't live in a feral colony, I am civilized and I want my chicken, beef and treats! Do you hear me?? Treats!!! What, is canned rabbit supposed to be like a rabbit's foot and bring me good luck? You and the next "Veterinary Food Network Star" need to get over yourselves....and fast! I will not eat "Peter Cottontail!"

To make matters worse Mom tends to have a kinda  sick sense of humor and when she was giving me some of my great food last night (kinda like the almost "last supper") she started calling me "Wascally Wabbit" and "Rabbit Boy".....way to go Mom! Make fun of a kitty when he is down! Hey, I love you too chubby (cough, cough) lady, maybe YOU should change YOUR diet and eat some rabbit! What? You don't want to? Well, that makes two of us!

I am NOT amused!!

By the way Mom...
Congrats on  your 100th post!! (I think)

  1. Awww poor Cody. I sure hope the Kitty Doctor can fix you up so dat sore goes away. You has my sympathy pal, cuz I hat going to my doctor too. They never do anything good like pet, give me scritches, or good treats. They just poke, prod and stick with needles. Hope your kitty doctor is kind to you today.

Mom just brought home a giant bag of dry rabbit kibble and one can of rabbit.

  8. Ingrid thanks! Cody is sleeping right now so I am answering lol.
Raw rabbit??? OMG I can barely handle the thought of canned rabbit....I could never serve raw rabbit!
I am thinking Cody will like it too because he is food obsessed.

  10. Oh poor Cody, I hope you're feeling much better by now. Rabbit??? that doesn't sound very yummy but you'd better eat it if it's good for you! As you know, your mom just wants you to be healthy and happy and if she thinks RABBIT is your right diet, then, be a good boy and eat it. You'll have your chicken, beef and treats soon!!! Get well soon, Cody : )

  13. Hi Ann!
It is Cody. My Mom gave me rabbit for the first time this morning (she gave me my old food in one bowl and the rabbit in the 2nd) I ATE THE RABBIT FIRST!! YUM!!! I LOVE THIS STUFF! I ate both bowls of food!
    I worried for NOTHING!
    (smacking my lips)
    Thanks for commenting!

  14. Cody -- you are a very adventurous kitty cat! I'm glad you ate your rabbit. If you have a food allergy, a novel protein source is certainly the way to go. Hopefully you'll be all cleared up soon!

  15. Kurt Hi! Cody here! thank you! I LOVE my rabbit!! My question is, if my allergies clear up does that mean I have to eat rabbit forever or can I go back to my old food?

  16. Haha! Cody your Mom was smart. Now she knows that if you were choosing from the menu, you would pick the special of the day: RABBIT! And while you're at it, why not finish off the old stuff! :)

  17. Hi Ann!
Yep my Mom knows that I would pick rabbit now! Yep she is still mixing my old stuff with the new rabbit! The first day she put the old and new in separate bowls like the vet told her to. I ate the rabbit first! :)
Thanks for reading my Mom's blog and for talking to me! We love when people read and leave us comments! It is like getting mail! :)

  18. Hi Cody...I must say that you are an incredibly talented writer and I think your mom should allow you to write more and more blog posts because I enjoy them very much! I have to wonder if you were the one who taught your mom everything she knows about writing or is it the other way around?
Anyway, sorry for the delay in regards to visiting you more often but I am glad you stopped by my blog to remind me to visit. I bet you and 2 Buck Chuck would love to have a glass of wine together but only if you bring the rabbit with you! Wouldn't the rabbit/wine combo be a treat for the 2 of you? Hmmmmm.....Henry the Tabby Cat

  19. Hi Teacher's Pet!! Shhh don't tell Mom but I grabbed the "pawtop" er laptop again! Thank you for the kind words about my writing. Since I am only 3 yrs old I haven't learned how to write as well as a lot of the grown kitties. I am glad you enjoy the posts that I have done!

I taught Mom, she doesn't know very much about writing mol, but don't tell HER that!

Yeah that 2 Buck Chuck looks like a really cool Dude. I like how he was laying on the floor with the guy that will be his new Daddy!! Chuck looked pretty drunk!! mol.

I would love to have a glass of wine with Chuck...I will bring the Welsh Rarebit um Welsh RABBIT!! Hey Henry can come too!!!

Thanks for visiting my Mom's and my blog again! Maybe I can convince her to let me do more writing!

    Love, Cody

  20. Cody - The idea is to eat food made from a protein source you've never eaten before. If the allergies clear up, then it's likely that one of the protein sources your are used to eating is causing the allergy. Maybe it's just one source, or maybe it's several. If it's just one, then you can eat all the other good stuff and just not that one.
