A Meow About Cat Bracketology

In an effort of fairness, and in true bracket fashion, the cats were seeded based on the number of votes they received in the nomination voting. Cats with more votes earned a higher seed and cats with fewer votes, a lower seed. But never fear if your favorite cat is up against a kitty powerhouse in the first round - anything can happen! The cats will be voted on in kitty "clowders" of 4 and the top 2 in each clowder will move on. We're moving into bracket voting now, so fans will have to choose only one cat to vote for in each clowder of 4...it's a BIG decision, we know! When only 8 cats remain, the voting will switch to a paw-to-paw showdown until only one top cat remains! 

From AmazeCats: Some may have considered Cody  an "undercat" from the beginning, but his dedicated following and catty good looks earned him a 3rd seed and a great advantage on his way to the top!

An "Undercat?" C'mon my furiends! Let's prove them WRONG!

THANK YOU! from Cody....

Hi every furry! It's Cody and I am just blown away by all of the wonderful birthday greetings that I received yesterday! Wow! It really meant so much to me and I want to THANK each and every one of you for taking the time to stop by!

I know you are all busy and the fact that so many of you took time out of your day to wish me a Happy Birthday means the WORLD to me! So I thank you from the bottom of my furry little heart!

Now, I want  to show you a few  things today and the first one is this adorable birthday greeting that I received from my dear furiend Nellie!

Isn't that just the sweetest!! Nellie posted this on a SPECIAL BLOG POST that she made just for me!  I know Nellie has a special boyfriend so the fact that she took the time to make this for me, really touched my heart! THANK YOU NELLIE!!

The next item I want to share with you is a special Cat In The Hat Mat that Mom ordered from our furiends Mollie and Alfie  as a special birthday surprise!

I was just resting in my new cat cave, (if you haven't entered our Laurel Burch give-away you still can!) when Mom plopped down a package in front of me.

Mom wanted me to come out, but I refused. When she opened the package I asked if a note had been written to me and she said "Nope, there was just the mat in the package. I guess that Mollie and Alfie were too busy to write you a little note. They have a lot of orders to fill in their shop but I am sure they send their good wishes anyway."

I do love my mat! Mom and I love The Cat In The Hat and this  mat is super cute!! I refuse to come out and show you how much I like it though. Hey, if there is no card or note for me in the package, then you don't get to see me! That's the name of that tune! You'll just have to trust me when I say I LOVE IT!

Last but FAR from least, I want to thank EVERYONE that voted for me in the AmazeCats Next Top Cat of the Internet contest!

YOU were ALL "amazing!" You enabled me to not only make it into the Top 32 but you  enabled me to make the third seed by giving me over 700 votes! I was completely blown away! (I also want to congratulate Daisy, Katie, Sparkle, Odin and Allie for making it into the Top 32 as well!) More than likely the special needs kitties with thousands upon thousands of votes will win, but it will be fun to see how close to the top each of us can get in this competition!

Happy Birthday Cody!!!! You're 6!

I can barely believe that today

my "boy" is

SIX!!!

Looking at these photos it seems they were all taken in the blink of an eye. Times goes by much too fast. Cody was a blessing sent to me by my Angel Bobo who passed 2 weeks before I adopted Cody. He helped soothe my broken heart.

Cody is a lover, cuddly, a great brother, clever, cunning, a clown, food obsessed,  and he has a belly that swings from side to side when he runs! Our lives are truly blessed!

Today we are celebrating Cody's SIXTH BIRTHDAY with the SECOND of what will be FOUR GIVE-AWAYS! ( If you missed the first give-away click here,  there is still time to enter!)  We hear that a number of other kitties have celebrations today as well, everything from more birthdays, to gotcha days to blog-o-versaries!

In the winter of 2011 I noticed that one of my cats wanted to play, but was bored of her usual toys.  On that day, I made a simple string cat toy out of fabric I had in the house.  Who knew that such a simple toy would elicit such an excited response from Zazu?!  The joy I saw as she played on that day made me open my eyes; it was on that day I pledged to make durable cat toys that would make cats happy across the globe.  Soon after, I branched out and started to make cat mats as well (these pads give my cats a place to sleep once they grew tired from playing so much!)
