UPDATE to the post "Kitties! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hi my furiends!!! It's Cody! I have something super impawtant to tell you!!!

Remember back on July 5th when I was hissing about having received an email from the Vet saying it was time for my vaccines and I asked you to help?  Well, you sure did!!! Mom and "Dr.Smiley" discussed my vaccine issue and I couldn't be happier! I ONLY have to have my rabies vaccine and THAT won't be until SEPTEMBER!!!!! (I will have my wellness visit at the same time!)

I thank you my kitty furiends and I thank your humans too for all of their input!!!  You saved me!!!

But....while my vaccines were being discussed, it was discovered that someone else had to get in for one of their vaccines............

BUSTED!!!

and not only did Dakota have to go to the Vet on July 8th for his rabies shot, he has to go back on July 25th for ANOTHER shot AND he is going back to the groomer (which is attached to the Vet)...on July 29th!!!

VICTORY IS MINE!!!

A Birthday Wish for my Sheltie Brother

Dear Dakota,

I normally don't get all mushy and gushy when it comes to talking about you. Well, I don't get all mushy and gushy when talking about much of anything, but today, and ONLY today I am going to make an exception.

Today is your TENTH BIRTHDAY, you old woofie you!!!!! You beat me!! I won't be ten for a little over a month so you beat me! You are OLDER!! No one would ever know that since I rule around here...but I digress. I said I will be nice today, and I am going to honor my promise because I am a cat of my word!

I remember the day that Mom and Dad first brought you home. They were all nervous that we wouldn't get along, but I circled your crate, hissed at you once to let you know just WHO is the boss around here and from that day on we have been the BEST of friends!!

Since today is your 10th birthday I am going to list a few  things that I like ok LOVE, about you, (I originally tried to come up with TEN but I couldn't!! I have "9 ish" MOL!!)

You always make me feel better when I have to go to the Vet and I am lucky enough that you came along with me. (Wish isn't always the case!)

When I am at the Vet and you aren't, you miss me and wait for me to come home.

Every time that YOU get a treat, I get one too!

You are fun to play with

You are the BEST "food tag team member" for Mom and Dad EVER!

You are great company when Mom and Dad aren't home

You are great company when Mom and Dad ARE home! (They are boring!)

You are one sensitive Sheltie


You get in more trouble than I do...oh wait, that isn't true. I get in WAY more trouble than YOU do!

You may be a woofie, but you are the BEST woofie brother that I could ever hope for!!!

Wishing you the BEST 10th birthday ever my dear brother!!! Enjoy this mush and gush today cause tomorrow it all goes back to normal!!!

WORDY WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE 2011

CODY!

Cody's word is "Cuddly"

From the moment I adopted Cody

he has been a little snuggle-bug

As a little guy, he would proudly

strut (yes he strutted with his little pot-bellied self!)

across the room and promptly made a beeline

for me and climbed up me like I was Mt.Everest

(in case you haven't noticed, I am shaped like Mt. Everest lol)

Then he would wrap himself around my neck

like a little furry boa

He STILL does this, but he is 12 lbs now

as opposed to 5 lbs when he first did this

Next Up:

Dakota!

Dakota's word is "Vocal"

When I saw this photo I nearly rolled

on the floor with laughter

Anyone that knows anything about Shelties

knows that they are herding dogs

This translates to that they are "working" dogs

They NEVER stop working

They NEVER stop guarding

They are quite vocal.

They bark at nearly everything

Those that don't understand the nature of Shelties

tend to not understand this behavior

Every dog has a "job"

A Sheltie's job is to herd and protect

My neighbor used to say that our building

that we live in is lucky.

We have 24 hour security because

Dakota is "on it" every hour of the day!
