Happy Chanukah 2021!!

Yep, it's spelled differently on the collage than on the header of the blog, (I prefer the spelling with the letter "C").

To those who celebrate, enjoy your "eight crazy nights!!!"

    חנוכה שמח
Yes, there are several ways to spell it. With non-Hebrew-speakers, I often use the CH spelling to make clear that it's a gutteral H, like CH in the name BACH. But it isn't really because in Hebrew, there's a difference between ח (het) which is the first letter of Hanukkah, and כ (chaf). The latter is a harder sound. It's hard to decide what's best.
Anyway, We love the cellphone analogy. And Roary and Levi look really sweet in their kippot (yarmulkas).

  8. Happy Happy, no matter which spelling. Dad says his oldest daughter will be celebrating Chanukah for the first time with her significant other this year.

    1. thank you!!! We got nada! Zip!!! Mom says I have enough toys (and she gets the CatLadyBox so I get toys from there), and she told Levi that his weekly daycare trip and bully stick obsession is all of the presents he's getting!!! He destroys every toy anyway (except for a handful that are REALLY well made).....Mom is mean! Love, Roary

  13. I like the spelling with the "C" better too, but the new rabbi where I work likes it the other way better, so that's what we use. Happy Chanukkah!
