Veterinarian Appreciation Day 2018

Today is the day to give your Vet a GIANT THANK YOU for all that they do and to let them know you appreciate them!  You know, a juicy hair-ball COULD be considered a thank you!

In all seriousness,  I DO love my Vet and we are beyond blessed to have him. Mom took my Grandpa Bobo to him many times before we were born, so Mom has been going to him maybe 15 years or so? Our Vet always goes above and beyond for us and he deserves a medal for dealing with my hyper mother. I don't know how he can handle her!

Ironically, Veterinarian Appreciation Day was created by Trupanion back in 2015, (only took us 3 years to realize that) and that is who we have our pet insurance with (this is NOT a sponsored post)! All we want to do is thank our Veterinarian for ALL THAT HE DOES FOR US!!! He is THE BEST!

We hope you love your Vet as much as we do!!!

  1. While we appreciate our clinic, and the vets are good, my human dreams of someday finding THE vet, the one she can really trust and has a connection with (and has a connection with us kitties too).

  3. Vets are nice people, but we don't like to go see them. They do weird stuff to us. I guess we appreciate them, but would rather never go see them.

  4. I am very happy that you found a good vet. We don't exactly love our vet. Not after what happened to Puck.

  5. Our vets are all women and very gentle and thorough, even if they DO comment on my sometimes-not-lasting-very-long butterball-ness, haha. Well, Loulou, they say, you might want to drop a few grams....

  7. Oh Cody, I wish I could dance and sing for our veterinarian, but alas, we can only say, 'meh'. Perhaps more time has to elapse since Chucky's passing, since that really robbed us of that 'feel good' stuff that we always thought veterinarian's would give. Too bad your vet is too far away from us, or we'd go see him! However, concats that you and your pawrents like your vet!

  8. Finding a vet you trust both medically and in how they and their staff treat your pets is no small feat. I'm glad you have a vet you appreciate.

  9. I love your graphic. It’s just awesome. A great vet is worth his or her weight in gold. Our very last one in PA was very good and I was sorry to leave her. Our vet here in CA is a cat-only vet and she’s wonderful. I’m happy that you guys have a vet you adore!

  10. Our Little Bit had a wonderful vet. He was the one that good care of her on her first visit and the last one to send her to the bridge. He cried right along with us.

Have a woof woof day, Dakota. My best to your mom. ♥♥♥

    1. Oh I sooo know. My Vet above had to help Bobo cross the bridge too (at our home). He only knew Bobo for 4 years (I had moved here from Michigan), but he has known Dakota and Cody their entire lives. I am so glad that Little Bit had a good Vet! xoxo

  14. You are lucky to have such a wonderful vet who you are happy with. I'm a little discontent with ours lately. He was great for so many years, but I think he's taken on a bit too much lately, and we're not getting the personalized attention we used to. :(

    1. I am so sorry to hear that. Since he was so good for so long, maybe he is having personal issues? Maybe you could discuss your concerns privately with him?

  15. We’re glad you have a vet you love so much, Cody. We have so many vets lately...our regular vets (there’s a couple that we see at the clinic), Wally’s internist and Ernie and Zoey’s oncologist. They’re all great!

  17. You are blessed to have such a good vet. VCA has a high turnover so we never get to build a relationship.
