The Pet Photo Fail Blog Hop! #PetPhotoFails

Cody and I are happy to be participating in the second Pet Photo Fail Blog Hop!! (COD knows we have a zillion photo fails to choose from!)

The hop is hosted by our dear friends at Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles and we are happy to join in the fun!

But, this time around I goofed. I had intended to keep my deleted photos in my phone (which is what I usually use to take photos), but I didn't. I deleted them and haven't begun to take some new photos for some blog posts for next week.

But, THANK COD I have enough crappy photos that actually DID make it to the blog and I am going to post one from 2011.

Dear COD what was I thinking? I started this blog in October of 2009 and I think that was the first photo I had ever taken. There is ZERO focus, the exposure is unreal........it is horrific and I am embarrassed to say I think I used it more than once.

Speaking of photos, I read (and many of our friends did too), a fabulous photo tip post that our friend Summer posted a few days ago. In case you missed it, you should check it out, then photos like that one wouldn't happen! But wait, if you do check it out, then maybe there wouldn't be a Photo Fail Blog Hop? Of course there would because I will still have plenty to post!

Thanks Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles for this fun blog hop!

  1. Thanks for the mention! Although, trust me, my human gets LOTS of out of focus shots of us kitties - especially Binga because she tends to be so random!

  2. I had a lot of photos like that but deleted them as I took them. I wish I had kept them because they would have been ideal for the new hop.

  3. We often find what are bloopers to be some of the best pics for a post!

  4. Summer did have some great photo tips this week, but we're not worried. There will always be plenty of photo fails! Yours is terrific (you used it more than once--really? MOL!). Thanks for joining Pet Photo Fails! :)

  8. Oops!Don't worry, my early photos of Athena weren't that great either. In fact, with my old phone I took some really terrible shots and even shared them online.

  9. It is difficult to photograph cats because they always move their head when you snap the picture.

    1. that is true but I often think that Dakota is much more difficult to photograph than Cody is....Cody is often too lazy to move, which helps lol

  11. Oh did I have problems with focusing in the beginning. I would zoom in get a gray and white blob. Finally I realized editing via computer and using that zoom was better.

    1. I hear ya! I have to use an online photo editor for virtually EVERY photo I take. Back when this one was taken I never knew online photo editors even existed!

  13. If I take my glasses off they all look like that. It is when they still look like that when my glasses are on that I worry.

  15. Oh boy, I don't think I even want to go back and look at some of my first photos on the blog! I know there were a lot of bad ones. A LOT!
I think photography is one of the hardest parts about blogging, so it's fun to have this hop and be able to share what is commonplace for many of us. :)

  19. Fails or not, we are all so gosh darn adorable no matter! Dad is kind of an idiot with his phone, and most often deletes the fails right away so as not to take up storage space. Have an awesome weekend!

    1. you are right! Tell Dad I ALWAYS delete my bad photos right away too, but........you can go through your deleted photos to do the post. I had deleted all of my deleted mail so I had none.

  26. I think I have more than enough bloopers too to fill years of posts with them alone, MOL!
A few have made it to some places where others saw them...yikes! And some get into my blog...usually because I don't have better ones to fill the need of that posting. I think Cody was enjoying himself there, pretending to be like his peeps:)
