I'm NOT the Kitty Daddy!!! World Spay Day

World Spay Day is an international day of action to promote the sterilization of pets, community cats and street dogs as a way to save animals’ lives. It takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February.  Created as Spay Day USA by the Doris Day Animal League (DDAL) in 1995, World Spay Day is now a program of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), Humane Society International (HSI) and Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association (HSVMA).

  2. Our kitties have always been spayed or neutered. No kitty parents at our house either.

  6. We're not the kitty daddy, either. :-P

This is a message that needs to reach far and wide; there still are so many humans who are uneducated or uncaring about the problem of cat (and dog) over-population.

  8. The Hubby actually calls out to stray cats in the neighborhood, "Watch out! If you hang around here, she's gonna neuter you!" She, meaning ME! No kitty goes 'intact' 'round here, I guarantee.

  9. Well, Lucy was a kitty mommy once, but we put a stop to that. We are trying to get another feral boy neutered in the neighborhood but we haven't seen him in months. Frustrating.

  11. I'm glad Momma got me neutered ... if I ever had kittens, the kitten-support would ensure that I'll NEVER get my tasty whole chicken farm! ~Bear Cat

  15. We are big fans of neuter/spay day and think it should be extended to include some uprights. Gotta keep the gene pool all good, right? BOL
