Angel Dakota's Birthday and #WorldSpayDay

 Today is World Spay Day and it is also Angel Dakota's birthday. I am sure Dakota wouldn't mind if Angel Cody shares his day. I love this graphic I did of Cody for World Spay Day and just had to share it again.

World Spay Day always takes place on the fourth Tuesday in February! (But the entire month of February is Spay/Neuter awareness month!)  Not spaying and neutering dogs and cats is responsible for millions of unwanted animals living on the streets without homes or food, which could lead to them ending up in a shelter which may not be the fate that one would want.  If you are not a breeder, please, please spay/neuter your pets!!!

"Everyone can contribute in spreading awareness about this day. Here's how you can help in this cause.

• Have your pet altered
• Encourage and aware your friends about spaying.
• Create Awareness among people about this using social media,
• By publishing ads or writing to the newspaper editors to publish it in newspaper articles.
• Volunteer at nearby shelters
• Organizing events and public speaking about spaying/neutering.
• Raising funds for it as spaying is usually expensive  
• Adopt pets from shelters."

World Spay Day is an international day of action to promote the sterilization of pets, community cats and street dogs as a way to save animals’ lives. It takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February.  Created as Spay Day USA by the Doris Day Animal League (DDAL) in 1995, World Spay Day is now a program of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), Humane Society International (HSI) and Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association (HSVMA).
