I do so agree. It drives me crazy too. Here, in Israel, we take Memorial Days very seriously.

A very important post, Caren. Unfortunately, like Christmas being about getting presents, it seems too many only think about Memorial Day as a day of cookouts and parties. It seems the true meaning of things has gone way out of whack these days.
