We Grieve with the World #QueenElizabethII

We are extremely sad. Queen Elizabeth II, who ascended the British throne at 25, has passed away at the age of 96. The queen has reigned longer than any other living monarch. She reigned over the British Isles as well as 15 commonwealth countries. What an incredible life she had, sharp as a tack until the end. A feisty, classy, strong woman, who was a huge dog lover as well. What an incredible life she lived! She was enormously popular. I seriously thought she would live forever

๐Ÿ™ I extend my sympathy to the Royal family and to all who are deeply touched and grieving her today. R.I.P ๐Ÿ™ xoxo

  1. I echo your sentiments, Caren. Whatever one's thoughts about the institution of the monarchy, the Queen was about service and duty to others, the polar opposite of our era of me, me, me. ๐Ÿ™

  5. We were very sad to hear about the passing of the Queen this afternoon. She really was a classy lady and she did so much for the world during her time. No matter what or who, whenever we hear the word Queen she will come to mind. She will always be The Queen of Hearts.

  9. She will be mourned and missed by the whole world.

I am a Canadian, so I too mourn her loss with tears, even though 96 is a great age, and 70 years on the throne is unprecedented.
When I was 17 or 18, she came to our town. I was standing very close to where she walked, and her grace, poise and beauty impressed me even then. I almost could have reached out and touched her…but I restrained my teenage self! LOL! I will carry that memory with me forever.

The new King has big shoes to fill…God Save The King!
