Uah Pet ZERO Automatic Cat Water Fountain Review (And 15% Off Coupon Code!!)

Keeping hydrated as we all know is important for humans. It's equally important for our cats to stay hydrated as well! A cat that isn't properly hydrated can form kidney (and other) stones and be prone to urinary tract problems. Your cat gets water from two sources, just like us: their food, and their drinking water. Water is critically important in a cat's body as it helps them digest food into energy, clean waste from their system, and other important metabolic functions. Cats are known for being picky about water, so keeping your cat hydrated is especially important"

For as long as I have had cats (well over 20 years now), I have been searching for what is to ME the perfect pet water fountain. I have reviewed MANY.  Aesthetically most of them have been attractive, some downright beautiful, but ALL had electrical cords, were difficult to set up and maintain, and ALL never prevented either of my cats who lived (live) with a dog from either drinking out of the dog's bowl. Or as is the case with Roary, drinking out of the dog's bowl AND the running water from a leaky bathtub faucet.

Roary has a natural love for water. He loves watching water drip and is drawn to it. When I was recently approached by Uah Pet to see if I wanted to try their pet fountain, when I visited their website I felt as if I might have FINALLY found the PERFECT pet fountain for me AND for Roary.

My main criteria in my quest for the perfect pet fountain was:

It had to be cordless

Had to be easy to assemble

Didn't require tons of upkeep

The Uah Pet ZERO Automatic Cat Water Fountain is an automatic pet water fountain that is wireless, whisper-quiet, and requires easy, manageable, minimal maintenance!

WHAT I LOVE:

NO CORDS! (Which translates to there is no safety hazard by either my tripping over the cord or Roary attempting to chew an electrical cord. It's SAFE!

YOU CAN PLACE IT ANYWHERE!!

Put it any place that your cat likes to drink. I originally had mine in the kitchen

Then I remembered reading something about never placing a cat's water bowl in close proximity to their food. When I remembered that, I Googled it and found this:

IT'S STABLE AND TIP-PROOF!

IT HAS AN EXTRA LARGE TWO LITER (676 oz) storage tank which if you have one or two cats you should only have to change the water approximately once a week (or slightly longer)

IT HAS A LONG-LASTING (120 DAYS) RECHARGEABLE WITH USB BATTERY that makes it safe for the planet!

SIX LEVEL FILTRATION SYSTEM

"This fountain contains KDF, quartz sand, coconut activated charcoal and ion exchange resin, so it’s perfect for cats and dogs that love to drink fresh-tasting water."

IT'S QUIET!

If you keep your fountain in the bedroom, it will not disturb you when it is running. It also won't frighten your cat!

IT IS MADE WITH ANTIBACTERIAL MATERIAL to ensure your cat has safer drinking water.

EASY ASSEMBLY/EASY TO CLEAN-you simply rinse it out. The filter is super easy to place inside and you are ready to go.

IT HAS TWO WATER FLOW MODES that are super easy to use! There is a motion activated mode which runs when your pet comes within 2 meters distance of a 120-degree area. (That is the mode that I am using most often). There is also a timer mode which provides your pet with cool, fresh water automatically every 15 minutes.

IT IS FULLY LEAK-PROOF!

WIDE WATER TRAY which translates to "Whisker-Relief!"

MY ONLY "CON"

It does come with an instruction manual but it isn't clear how to assemble it by reading the tiny pamphlet. I had found a video on Amazon that showed me exactly how to put it together (as well as how to take it apart for cleaning). CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO.  (it is the video that is over a minute long, I believe it's 1:47) Would love it if Uah Pet would post this video on their website!! That is my only complaint. I had to search high and low for a video showing how to put the fountain together.

A HUGE PLUS, IT'S LOW MAINTENANCE!

(BECAUSE THESE QUESTIONS HAVE COME UP A FEW TIMES I DECIDED TO ADD THIS TO THE POST JULY 26, 2022: DIRECTLY FROM THE UAH PET WEBSITE)

How often should I replace the filter?

How often should I change the water?

"We recommend replacing the filter and filter sponge every 3-4 weeks depending on use. Replacement filters are available on our website in convenient packs of six."
"For optimal usage, we recommend replacing the water every 4-7 days, though the fountain is designed to be safely used for up to 10 days at a time."

AM I HAPPY WITH THE FOUNTAIN? A RESOUNDING "YESSSSS!!"

IS ROARY HAPPY WITH THE FOUNTAIN? ANOTHER RESOUNDING "YESSSSS!!"

I have not seen Roary drinking out of Levi's bowl OR the bathtub since the arrival of the fountain!! I wanted to shoot video of Roary drinking from the fountain but haven't had the chance to do so.That being said, this fountain is a KEEPER! I could not be happier with it!

    1. yes you can clean the filter (it is really small and easy to replace) about every 10 days and replace once a month. The filter has it's own compartment.

  3. We aren't in need of a cat fountain these days, but a dog one could be a possibility. We loved our old one but it died after a few years. The cordless feature is wonderful.

    1. don't know who this is, so I apologize because I don't know the size of your dog (without knowing who you are). This fountain is good for SMALL dogs as well as cats.

  4. That fountain would have been perfect for Eric! He had a thing about scraping all the water out of our fountain and flooding the kitchen. I got a large base for a parrot's cage and stood it in that to keep the floor dry. I also had to turn it off at night in case he burned the motor out. It looks like that one only has shallow water in the tray which would have stopped his fun and games!

  12. Roary and Latte seem similar ... no fountain is complete without a paw (and toy) or two!
