A "Seussical" Read Across America Saturday!

A version of this  post first appeared on our blog on March 2nd, 2013....each year I repeat the majority of it but I ALWAYS make slight revisions so read on!

Today is the day,
it's truer than true,
today is the day
we tell Dr.Seuss
"WE LOVE YOU!"
We GRATEFULLY
THANK GLOGIRLY DESIGN
FOR DESIGNING OUR GRAPHIC!
YOU CAN HAVE ONE TOO BY CLICKING
 HERE
It is also Read Across America Day
which is ALWAYS celebrated
on Dr.Seuss's birthday

"Across the country, thousands of schools,
 libraries, and community centers
participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books"
Visit Seussville for all sorts of activities!

Cody won this hat
that was made by
Ms.Ellen over at
15 and Meowing
March of 2018

Mom first discovered Dr.Seuss
as a child of age 4,
When she would "read"
she would shout
"I want MORE!"

March 2, 1904
is a date to be remembered
evermore!

Write it on your wall!
It is  the birthday
of probably the most
popular children's book author of all!
courtesy of cracked.com

He wrote Mom's faves,
oh how she  LOVES those green eggs!

Mom's first long word,
that she ever read,
it was in one of Seuss's books
and at age 6,
 Mom figured it out
just by using her head!

It is only appropriate on this
most special day,
that we wish
Dr. Seuss the
 HAPPIEST

of BIRTHDAYS!!

  2. What a grand post in honor of reading and Dr. Seuss - which go hand in hand (or paw in paw). My Mom remembers loving Dr. Seuss books too - she never got tired of the artwork or the poems....! Happy Seuss Day!

  4. Who doesn't love to read about green colored foods, and oh, by the way mom and dad are from his neck of the woods! Dad can remember when he first discovered Dr. Seuss's books way back about 50 or so years ago, but he can't remember things mom told him yesterday.

  16. Oh, Cody, we love the images with the hat, it makes you so much youer than you...well...just to use at least some words of Dr. Seuss😸We wish that we had known Dr. Seuss much and much earlier. His first book was in 2004 translated in Dutch, but we only heard of him since we are blogging. Pawkisses for a wonderful Sunday🐾😽💞
