It's NOT You, It's Feedburner

 FEEDBURNER SUCKS.

YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT
FEEDBURNER SUCKS

Well, furiends, the same thing that happened to us back in October  has happened again. For the past few weeks ALL of the blogs that use Feedburner to deliver their blogs to us via email HAVE STOPPED COMING TO OUR INBOX.

When this happened in October it lasted about a month and then BOOM, one day they magically started appearing. Cody and I hope that happens again...SOON!

We are trying to keep up with you via BlogLovin' (when we have time, Mom and I don't like readers because they take too long), and we are also clicking on your blogs when you leave a comment, (when we are able to.) Because things have been extremely crazy since mid December   we are not always able to do that. We are doing our best to keep up with everyone but we follow A LOT of blogs and it appears that A LOT of blogs have been affected by this.

Please know that if we are not commenting as much as we would like to it is primarily due to Feedburner.  Because they SUCK.

Cody and I hope you will forgive us!!

  1. This is why I switched so many of my subscribers over to my weekly emails. Some of them wanted to go back, but I worry about incidents like this one.

    1. Well, remember when I had you move me to daily? I was getting it when you switched me then yours totally stopped coming as well so I truly have no clue as to why.

  3. We do not use that, but it sure is frustrating when you loose contact because of funky deliveries. At least we know that while feedburner (whatevfur that is...MOL), does suck, we for sure know that you and your blog do NOT!

We still get regualr notices that you have a new post, both by email and by bloglovin.

    1. thanks but it isn't my blog I'm worried about. Yes I do think that Feedburner sends your posts out because I do NOT receive your blog at all in my email. Haven't received it for ages and I AM subscribed so I have no clue as to why it isn't coming.

    2. I made a change to my settings and added you to receive my posts by sending them to your email. I hope that works for you. I have not specifically told feed-burner to send my posts to their subscribers, maybe its the default one that blogger uses?? I wonder if the troubles started when I hanged the title of my blog to reflect the fact that there are two dogs here now and only one kitty?
      Purrs!
(I am only blogging about once a week, mostly with the Sunday Selfies...)

    3. thank you so much! Will see if they start coming! Yes, I think you are exactly right, I think Feedburner is the default one that blogger uses! Exactly! Nope, I don't think it is ANYTHING that you did......not your fault! xoxo

    1. Nope, doesn't explain that because your email posts are NOT handled by Feedburner, I DO get yours.

  6. I hope that issue gets resolved soon.

  7. I don't use Feedburner either. I'm on Bloglovin and get your emails as a subscriber.😉 Sorry for your troubles . That really sucks. Love the pic with Cody...that facial expression says it all!

  10. I've been trying to get everything organized in my feedly. I'm using mailchimp, but I guess people could still subscribe with feedburner. Wonder why it does that?

    1. I have mailchimp installed too because of that. I have no clue why it would stop sending people's blogs but it is driving me nuts. When it happened before I searched and searched to try and find out what the problem was and ended up finding NOTHING. Of course there is NO WAY to contact feedburner either. It's crazy. I even tried re-subscribing to some blogs and when I do it says "you are already subscribed" and I am like "duh, I KNOW THAT!!"

  11. Another vote here for Feedly. They have a free version (which I use) and a paid version. I've never had a problem with it.

  12. Sorry you're having technical issues. It's always maddening, especially when you have no idea how to correct it. Hope you are able to resolve the issue soon. Blogger vexes me in so many ways, so I follow you thru Bloglovin' just to avoid more issues. Hugs

  13. This is why I just use my Favorite Blogs list, and click each one daily! But, I understand how frustrating this is!

  14. Oh. I don't comment to make you comment (he), I was just coming by and now I'm very curious - why does it take longer time to follow blogs with a rss-feed?

I don't have time to always read and comment on blogs I like because I just don't have the time - but I had no idea I'd maybe get to read more blogs if I subscribed via email? I always thought it's the same because you click on a direct link to a posting and there you are?

    Answer when you've time. Don't stress :)

    1. not having time is part of my issue as well (due to things going on with an ill family member)....but...I don't do the RSS thing, what I meant was I DO follow a number of blogs on BlogLovin' but it takes longer to go through that then when they came to my email. Yours IS coming to my email...(it seems to be mostly blogger blogs and blogs that use Feedburner for their email subscriptions).....it's crazy. The bad thing about subscribing via email is you get TONS of email but that way I just read them as they come up. You are sweet! I know you visit! I just hate that I am not visiting A LOT of people the way I normally would! xoxo

    2. <3 I thought blogloving was some kinde of RSS feed like feedly, so that's why I was wondering why it takes longer time.

The longest time on commenting is for us typically the confirming thing that we are not a spammer and that we have to enter our name and url (well, at least the first letter) if we want to have a direct link to our blog.

So that's why I was wondering how a link on your email can be faster than a RSS feed - because both should work the same.

But we I don't know how Bloglovin is working, so I just assumed something that isn't even true, hehe.

  20. We are no strangers to email issues, since we've had some of our own (not everyone getting our posts from Subscribe2), so I understand how frustrating it is! Did I hear something about Feedburner phasing out, or am I confusing that with something else, I wonder?

    1. Hmmmm...interesting. If that's the case....people (primarily those on blogger) need to find out WHO is sending their posts out via email and do what I did.......I installed the mailchimp subscribe option on my side bar. I was getting yours....if you blogged today though, I didn't.

  29. You are forgiven, we are having the same problem, as well as lots of stuff going on so Mommy doesn't even have time to attempt to figure out another way of doing things.
