  1. Yeah, I gave Spitty my congcats, too.

That five day "rest" did the Tigers in. A shut-out. Sheesh.

  2. So sorry for the Tigers' loss!
(Hey, I figured out how to turn off the captcha comment thing, you had mentioned what a pain it was. Not that it's any consolation...)

  3. @2 Punk Dogs...well, you made me smile and I thank you for that and the captchas.

@Mr.Black Spitty and I had a bet going. A shut out makes it that much harder to live with. The Tigers just pretty much didn't show up...kinda like the Yankees.....

  8. Cody and Mom, we are so sorry for the loss. Looks like those Giants are a good team. But the Tigers are a good team too. Anyway, try to have a good day.

  10. These things happen, I think. You've just gotta roll with the punches, I guess. At least, that's the kind of thing peeps say at times like these. Personally, I think the best plan of action is to... take a nap! Naps always make ya feel better no matter what. purrs

  15. Sorry about that, Cody and Caren. The Tigers had a great season, so be proud of that. They just ran into a buzzsaw. Bad timing. :(

  21. aww Cody. That is tough to swallow when your team doesn't show up. In Baseball, too much rest is never good.

our lights are flickering and our building is rocking but I wanted to console you.

  22. So sorry about those Tigers. :( But the Lions managed to squeeze in another win. Yay!

  23. Aw, Cody! Cheer up, Man! Your team are the AL champs! They made it to the World Series! How many other teams can say that? That’s right–none! (The Human is very familiar with this type of self-cheering up–after all, her Giants got swept in the 1989 Series by the Most-Detested A’s and lost another heartbreaker in 2002. So this winning stuff is unfamiliar territory). We tried to give the Reds and the Cards and the Tigers some props in our post for tonight. We luffs you!! (And hey--console yourself--at least you're not a Yankee fan, MOL! -- Oops, I hope CK doesn't see this!!)

Also, to make us feel even a bit WORSE, our fun toy from the contest came today!!! We'll post about it this week!

  25. @Spitty yeah pal I am SURE you love us!!! What's not to love when we GAVE you the win!! MOL!! Seriously...the BETTER team won!! We agree...at least we're not Yankees fans! MOL! Oh and Mom sent your Mom a gift.....(you just got YOURS!! MOL! The catnip toy was YOUR gift!!) Mom has a gift of her own being sent to her office.....it's delicious and it's a Detroit exclusive!! Love, Cody

  26. @CK who better to console us about our team "not showing up" than YOU....the Queen of the Yankees...the OTHER team who "didn't show up!!" MOL!! Seriously hoping you are all safe so that i have you around to HARASS next year!!!!!!! MOL!!

  27. @Katie and Glogirly, funny you said that. SHE IS. When the Tigers were in the series in 2006 Mom's photo was in the Free Press and tons of fans came to have their photo taken with Mom who PAINTED HER FACE.....she was at the game :) If I can find it, I may have to share it one day :)
