"The Pet Beastro" And "A New Leash On Life" Team Up To Find Homes For Felines

The Pet Beastro, 27637 John R Road, Madison Heights, Michigan and A New Leash on Life are teaming up to offer cat and kitten adoptions on the first and third Thursday of each month from 6 to 8 pm starting today! For a fee of only $65 per cat or $100 per kitten, people can adopt a feline friend that is healthy, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and in some cases de-clawed in front. Adoption applications can be obtained at The Pet Beastro or at www.anewleahonliferescue.org.
A New Leash on Life currently has about 20 cats that are in foster homes that have been surrendered by their owners, or in some cases that have been found as stray cats,” says Jill Tack, Owner of The Pet Beastro. “Depending on the availability of the foster homes, we will have as many adoptable cats as possible at each adoption event for people to meet.”

According to Deb Eberhardt of A New Leash on Life, the cats are in foster homes and are learning to socialize with other animals, and learning home life. “We interview each prospective adoptee to see if they are a good fit for the pet for which they are interested,” says Eberhardt. “Once approved we do same day adoptions. We provide them a copy of all medical records for that pet. All of them are up to date on their shots, have all been examined by a licensed veteranarian, and have all tested negative for feline leukemia.

The Pet Beastro specializes in healthy, holistic foods and treats for cats and dogs, such as like whole meats, grain-free diets, dehydrated vegetable and fruits, and organic options. The Pet Beastro is located at 27637 John R Road in Madison Heights, MI. For info about The Pet Beastro and  Jill Tack, please call 248-548-3448.

Let It Snow!!!

Those of us that live in the Midwest are battening down the hatches for what is possibly going to be a record setting snowfall.

Here in Michigan we are being warned that the snow will start Tuesday evening  and will continue through Wednesday. When all is said and done we are expecting possibly 20 inches!

We have been lucky thus far. All of the giant storms of the season have been centered on the East Coast. Looks like it is our turn now.

For those of us waiting for the supposed "Mother" of a storm to arrive....wrap up all cozy in a warm fuzzy blanket....grab something warm to drink and something tantalizingly tasty to snack on.....hold your kitties and your doggies close...

This is nature's way of telling us to slow down....sit back...stop for a moment and watch the magical snow dance from the sky....everything has beauty if we take the time to notice...
