My heart breaks for you, as I know having to hand your little baby over to perfect strangers, at the hands of your Mother, nonetheless, must have been unspeakably difficult for you. They say that time heals wounds, but I am not always so sure about that...

I am thrilled you are finally able to open your home to these extraordinarily amazing creatures and Cody is very blessed to have you as his human Mama.

XO - Deb and all of the ZeeZoey clanZee and Zoeyhttp://www.zeeandzoey.com/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5182681216854437149.post-22419926510520959002010-09-24T19:09:05.275-04:002010-09-24T19:09:05.275-04:00@Anonymous BlackGirl, I was 15. My mom dislikes cats as well even though she remembers the cats that would fill her house she grew up in back in JamaicaMinnie C Rileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10023824474951263407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5182681216854437149.post-10401370715260644892009-11-05T10:30:55.294-05:002009-11-05T10:30:55.294-05:00Aw - I read your kitten story, how sad.... but it ...Aw - I read your kitten story, how sad.... but it is good to see that that did not spoil your love for cats; you're a good 'momma'. I enjoy animals a lot, having several growing up. I am amused by my children b/c although they enjoy animals (dogs/cats) they prefer to enjoy their friends and not care to bother with one of their own. It does work out well however, b/c of our childrens schedule, some things are not fair to animals (this is the reason the children give that they chose not to have pets - too busy, not fair to the pet). Regardless, I've always enjoyed the curiousity that cats have. Maybe someday....Linda Pnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5182681216854437149.post-66484805549187843952009-11-04T11:43:20.160-05:002009-11-04T11:43:20.160-05:00When I was little, I was always afraid of cats. I...When I was little, I was always afraid of cats. I guess I was influence by some old wives' tale or something. One evening, as we were walking home from my performance in junior high school play, a little kitten began to follow my mother and I. It was raining something awful and we kept trying to "Shoo" it away, but she kept following us. We took it home and she became our pet until some terrible neighborhood children literally stole her and refused to give her back. I really loved her, however, I have never owned another cat - I guess the initial loss impacted me and I have just never tried to love another cat as family. I now just think there are adorable and I admire the cats that belong to friends. I know this sounds goofy, but it is true.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5182681216854437149.post-18552406975286922612009-11-03T22:07:36.695-05:002009-11-03T22:07:36.695-05:00wow, -horrific story, but look at the life you sav...wow, -horrific story, but look at the life you saved, the maturnal instinct once again rises to the occasion!
