"Purr For A Cure" with Honeycat Cosmetics #Breastcancerawarenessmonth

Disclosure: We were not compensated for this post either monetarily or with product. Because of the importance of breast cancer research we would never accept compensation for this type of a post. Honeycat Cosmetics is donating 20% of their "Purr for the Cure" product sales to support breast cancer research.

October is: "Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also referred to in America as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), It is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer."

I am willing to venture that virtually every one of you reading this post have dealt with this awful disease, either directly or indirectly. I have family members who are breast cancer survivors and sadly I know others, (such as my mother-in-law whom I adored),  who have succumbed to this evil disease.

I am already a huge fan of Honeycat Cosmetics and recently featured them on our blog.  Sadly, our dear friend Theresa from Honeycat Cosmetics has also witnessed this ugly disease:

From Honeycat: Before starting Honeycat Cosmetics I was very active in Women's Health Care. Unfortunately, too many times I have witnessed first hand the ravages of this disease. Young women, old women and everything in between. I personally had to surrender a cousin and a close childhood friend to breast cancer, but where there is life, there is also hope. It's always too soon to give up. These are some of the reasons that Honeycat considers it an honor and duty to donate 20% of sales of our " Purr For The Cure " items in support of breast cancer research.  Like Daenerys Targaryen we must slay and subdue this dragon that is, breast cancer.

  24. Yes, this is a scourge and it is evil.

Petcretary is also a (11 year) cancer survivor of another cancer type. One with an insidious hard to find before it is too far gone...ovarian cancer. It can lurk undetected so long, that is why its so hard to catch and treat in time. And the survival rate while better than it was is still rather dismal. All women should be educated in this disease...its causes, risk factors, etc. And to know themselves well enough to inquire about strange symptoms. That is how petcretary found out,her body was signalling something was amok.

Petcretary was stage 3b with a guarded prognoses, but God healed her. Praise the Lord.

Let us hope and pray that one day all kinds of cancer may be not only cured but prevented. Cancer treatment is no picnic:(
