Cats! "Beam Up" with the Jackson Galaxy® Space Station from Petmate (Give-Away!)

Disclosure from Cody: no green papers exchanged paws for this review. I received a Jackson Galaxy Space Station by Petmate in exchange for my always honest review! Neither Petmate or Jackson Galaxy is responsible for anything I meowed during this review.

Hi my kitty furiends! It's Cody handling just PART of the review duties today! Today I have a special furiend who is helping me out and wait til you meet him! As many of you know, I have been blogging for nearly 8 years now (wow my paws are TIRED!!), and throughout that time I have been reviewing/featuring, (Mom too, when it has been applicable),  toys, books, TV shows,  and special philanthropic causes AND MORE, that a certain special "Cat Daddy" has been a part of. This special purrson needs no introduction, but in the event that you are living under a bag of kitty litter and don't know who he is, this special purrson is Jackson Galaxy. Years ago I reviewed a few of his toys and recently I reviewed another.  Today I will be sharing with you the second one that I received.  It is from the:

Jackson Galaxy™ Collection by Petmate®

Share A Better World With Your Cat

"Cats who play are naturally more confident in their territorial ownership, meaning they will be happier and better behaved. The Jackson Galaxy™ Collection by Petmate® taps directly into their natural instincts to bring out their best."

Today, I am presenting  to you  the Jackson Galaxy® Space Station . Normally when Mom needs me to review something, I am not always the most cooperative cat in town, but when this item came I IMMEDIATELY went to scope it out!

Jackson Galaxy® Space Station

The Jackson Galaxy® Space Station is sure to keep your cat active and entertained! This exciting new product has multiple openings so that your cat can hunt the ball from inside or outside the elevated Space Station bowl. The deep, high-walled bowl features a replaceable scratch pad on the bottom and is deep enough to allow your cat to stalk, pounce, and play. With so much to offer, the Jackson Galaxy® Space Station is perfect for single or multi-cat households.

MEET OUR GUEST REVIEWER!!!

Now while I DID use the Space Station the first day it arrived, I haven't used it since. Nope. I believe in being completely honest. My not using the Space Station since the first day has NOTHING to do with the toy. "I'm a cat. I use things when I WANT TO. I don't use them on DEMAND, got that Mom?" Mom says it's me. I am now 10 years old and sometimes I don't play with things as readily as I used to. Mom says I am just downright lazy.  I say, "that I am more of a catnip and wand toy kind of a guy and that I rarely use any of my "tracker" toys."

That being said we DO know of a kitty whose Mama had bought this toy and he LOVES it! His name is Olaf and he is two years old. He was adopted from the Tigerlily Cat Rescue here in Michigan, and he is the kitty of Kimberly who happens to work at our Vet (also known as "Dr.Smiley's Evil Laboratory!!!").  When Mom and Dad took Dakota in last week for his shots, Mom was talking to Kimberly about her kitties, and this toy came up. Kimberly mentioned she had bought the Space Station for her cats and that Olaf just LOVES it!!! Kimberly was kind enough to share the video with us, we hope you enjoy it!

Isn't he just the cutest????? Thank you Kimberly and Olaf!!!  Olaf is on Instagram too so you can follow him!! Mom says it's nice to see a cat who ISN'T LAZY play, and she LOVES that he LOVES THIS TOY!!!  I LOVE this toy too, but listen up Olaf my new pal, "when you are ten years old like me and get tired of YOUR Mom following you around with a camera all day, you might be less cooperative too, just sayin......"

GIVE-AWAY!!

Kitties! If your human resides in the U.S. and is 18 and over and can enter for you, you could be the LUCKY WINNER of the Jackson Galaxy® Space Station from Petmate!! (An approx $31 value!!)  Entering is super easy, just enter on the Rafflecopter below and good luck!!!

About Jackson Galaxy™

Jackson Galaxy is the host and executive producer of Animal Planet’s hit show, My Cat From Hell, currently entering its sixth season. Throughout the show’s run, he has consistently challenged both the traditional cat-lover stereotype, with his tattoo-clad arms and guitar case filled with cat toys, and the way cats themselves are perceived. Jackson started his career working "in the trenches" in animal shelters, and since then, has spent over 20 years developing his “Cat Mojo” approach to solving cat (and human) issues. He has dedicated his life to promoting a compassionate world for all animals and, with the establishment of the Jackson Galaxy Foundation, is intensifying his work toward the ultimate goal of achieving a “no-kill” reality in the U.S. and beyond. Jackson’s first book, Cat Daddy: What the World’s Most Incorrigible Cat Taught Me About Life, Love, and Coming Clean, was published by Tarcher in 2012. Coauthored with cat style expert Kate Benjamin of Hauspanther.com, his second book Catification: Designing a Happy & Stylish Home for Your Cat (and You!) reached #1 on The New York Times Animal Bestseller list in 2014.

  1. I think that toy looks like lots of fun! I followed Olaf - who would resist following a cat whose Instagram name is olaf_is_trouble?

  2. Uh!! We want sth like that!! That actually looks like a lot of fun, but knowing our silly Mom, she'll probably try to rebuild sth similar with boxes.

Oh, and we all know how this ends - we'll ignore it because it just ain't the same like a shiny purchased product. And then she'll probably be offended and mad that we don't appreciate her efforts.

    Sigh.

  3. Interesting toy. My kitties probably wouldn't use it either, but if we had a kitten it would be fun.

    1. Thank you! I try but I wish more of them were world-wide give-aways. I have no control over that :( If I had the extra money, I would buy extra prizes to give to those in other countries but unfortunately, at this time, I can't :( As for Cody, he has TOO MUCH STUFF! I try to donate toys and things to shelters once or twice a year.....and to people that I know that live by me that have cats (because right now shipping is too expensive for me to send to other bloggers).....my step daughter has 3 cats so she gets some of Cody's stuff too. She is moving into a larger house at the end of the summer and I already have some stuff set aside to give to her for her cats since she will have waaay more room than I do! xoox

  16. Cody, I'm right there with you. I'm also more of a wand and nip kind of gal. I just turned 11. You look very cute with your tushy climbing in that toy.

Thanks for sharing Olaf's video! How funny that your mom was chatting with his mom and found out he loves this very toy. That was perfect timing! Next we're off to visit Olaf on IG.

  20. That looks like a toy that would take up space in our condo and gather dust. I'm not lazy but I am 12. Thanks for innerducing us to Olaf and letting him "review" it.

  21. Now I might enjoy that, but if not, I would give it to my vet who has a shelter at his place...Sometimes I go nuts with my things, other times I am ho hum...MOL!

  23. We have one of these too - as I expected, Bear won't touch it ... but you hear Ellie playing with it in her room all night. Ugh. I mean, don't get me wrong ... there's not many better feelings than when you find a toy your kitty loves ... but after a couple sleepless nights ... you start to question that just a teeny tiny bit :) And no, I couldn't bear to take it away from her.

    1. Ellie is like my Angel Bobo, he LOVED to play. He had a track toy that he did the same with. Cody inherited his toy and never, ever uses it. I was like you and would never take it away even if it kept me up all night!

  24. Oh, so some cats do like to play with toys more than once! You couldn't tell by our Sam - she is just like you, Cody! Most of our toys end up going to Cousin Nina, so we won't be entering this one (Cousin Nina has enough toys!), we'll let some other lucky kitty get a chance.
