#RememberMeThursday "Shine a Light and Save a LIFE" #RemembertheRescue

Hi every furry and human! It's Cody, and I am here to tell you that today is a most impawtant day. It is the day when we honor the millions of pets who lost their lives without the benefit of a loving home, and shine a light on the millions of healthy pets who are still awaiting adoption.

Animal lovers across the planet will honor these loving babies
by lighting candles on the exact same day.
I am a rescue kitty.

I was blessed that I had an amazing foster mother and was adopted by my Mom at a young age, but things could have been different.

Today I want to acknowledge animals who weren't as lucky as me and pray for those who are still waiting to be adopted. May they all find loving homes.

  10. Little Bit was our last rescue. No one wanted her and I knew that. She knew that I knew that too. She worked me well and ended up in our home. We still consider this home her home and she just let us live with her. We miss her so.

Hubby said no more babies. I've got to honor that. He's says it's too hard to lose them.

May all the babies that need forever homes find one today.

Have a purrfect day Cody. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥♥♥

  17. Adopting pets is pawsome! I'm so glad that you were one of the lucky ones, Cody. Manna and Dexter are too. It is sad that so many wonderful kitties never find a home. I hope that Remember Me Thursday helps bring this issue to light!

  18. I'm thankful today for good shelters and the people who give their time and love. It's hard to think about those cats who didn't find a forever home, but at least I know the ones at PAWS still got a lot of affection from staff and volunteers. It's not enough, I know....
    Beautiful post, Caren and Cody.

  26. We are glad we did not have to be in shelters...but Minko was kind of a rescue kitty from a bad breeder. If the petcretary had realized and been wise to her ways that lady who was trying to profit from her kitty litter would have been stuck in that same litterpan...well, petcretary was close to reporting her, but she didn't...if she evfur sees anything like that again she sure will.

Anypaws we sure hope lots and lots of furries will find good forevfur homes to call their own. Yesiree.

  27. Hi Cody, aren't we all blessed to have loving homes? We also lit a candle for three particular kitties that we felt sad that we couldn't bring home. We don't know what happened to bear, Sandy and Suzie. our heart aches for all those that never made it. Thank you for sharing your post. 😽
