Would YOU Lick Your Cat? Hilarious or Over the Top? Discuss...... #LickiBrush

Ok, I heard about this online a few days ago, then I saw it Wednesday night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

I will admit I HAVE rubbed my nose along my cat's head in a manner in which I pretend I am the "Mama Cat", but this? Is this a little over the top?

From what I understand this is NOT a joke! This is a REAL product that is going to have a Kickstarter campaign beginning soon. It is called "Licki Brush"..........

What are YOUR thoughts?

  1. I saw that too earlier this week... and both my human and I think it is crazy! Petting and a comb works fine with me. If I want a licking, I'll ask Binga... who, come to think of it, will give me both definitions of the word!

  2. I saw this last week, and I couldn't even watch the whole video - in my opinion, it's really disgusting. I don't think this idea is going to fly. I love my cats to pieces, but I would definitely not be using this!

  3. Hannah has lots of long fur which sometimes knots and I just snip the knots out and I can promise I will not not be using a Licki Brush!

  4. I also think it's nuts...have seen the commercial and thought it was one of the strangest ideas EVER. Absolutely would not purchase such a thing and find it just a bit - er - um - WEIRD that someone would even WANT to use this thing!!

    Hugs, Pam (AND Sam!)

Mommy heard about it on Wait, Wait, Don't Tell me and she couldn't believe it was the real story.

  7. This is the kind of thing that gives cat lovers a bad rep. Over the top is putting it kindly...

  10. I saw that earlier this week, too. And...campy fun but not particularly effective. I take it as a joke gift, along the same lines as the pet rock.

  11. I averted my eyes...yuck! I will admit that I've kissed a few cat heads and ears, but haven't licked a single cat yet! The Hubby thinks it will happen in time, 'cause he is sure I've lost it...lol!

    1. lmao!!! Ok let me clarify, you wouldn't ACTUALLY be licking the cat's head....the product would be lol

  12. Well...the cat seems to like it, but I wouldn't do this. Just saying.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Cody. ♥♥♥

  13. I sometimes will rub my nose on my cat's nose, but lick him... that's strange. Are you sure this isn't a gag gift?

    1. Let's hope that it is a gag but they claim it isn't. I have rubbed my nose along Cody's head (like a mama cat) but I certainly wouldn't use something to lick him! lmao!!! They claim a Kick Starter campaign will be starting, hope not!

  14. I love my cats, but I draw the line at licking them :)

  15. Well, that's unique. I love to snuggle my kitties, but licking seriously crosses some lines. Honestly, I don't think they'd like it any more than I would.

  16. I have actually licked (like, a very SMALL one, lol) my cats' heads... once, each, over the years, just to imagine what it was like. Pretty sure that's enough for me. ;)

  17. That is beyond weird!!! The cat is enjoying it, but that is most likely because it is a variation on a Zoom Groom.

  18. My Dad did that once, without that crazy thing, and he was forever getting the fur off of his tongue!

    1. Ohhhhh myyyyyy GOD!!! For some reason, I am noticing that the men don't seem to think this is as bad as we women do!!!! I NO WAY would use this!! Your Dad is silly!!!!

  20. I was just conversing with Penny the Jack Russell dog and she tells me that the human has the situation licked with the cat. Although, the human needs to brush up on his licking techniques.

    Penny's alleged human,

    Gary :)

  25. This even made our NY Daily News. TW's always wanted to lick her cats. She goes close to my head, sticks her tongue out and makes a slurping noise. It's soooooo disgusting. Then she used to nibble on Nicky's ear. She doesn't dare do that to me.

  26. My human says, "Uh no!" Those his cat of yesteryear, I pawed to lick his face in the night- scaring him silly- not a short trip- the thought to do it back is pawsitively gross- Noah!
