Honor Beloved Pets With Pet Sympathy Gifts From Luxe Pets-Enter to Win!

This past November I had the pleasure of being contacted by Claire from  Luxe Pets asking if I would be interested in reviewing their collars. Cody doesn't wear a collar and Dakota's fur is so full and long that you don't even SEE his collar, but I decided to pop into her website anyway. I am THRILLED that I did! When I visited the Luxepets website, what caught my eye immediately was the items that are geared towards Pet Loss. There is a line of Pet Sympathy Gifts that are special and unique.

I remember when my beloved Bobo passed in 2007, the grief, as you all know,  was overwhelming. Anyone who has shared their life with a pet for any period of time, knows that when a pet passes, it is devastating.

"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends leave footprints in your heart."---Eleanor Roosevelt----

When Bobo passed I wanted something to memorialize him, something that would  keep his spirit alive in every room. At that time, all I could think of doing was going out and purchasing frames that had slots for multiple photos and I created collages that I hung in virtually every room of our condo. That did, and still DOES, help.

Each year on Bobo's Gotcha Day, Birthday and the anniversary of his passing, I also want to acknowledge him in a special way, but didn't really have a way of doing that, until now. (All of the items I am mentioning below, I have received. )

From Luxe Pets:

Losing a pet is often the hardest part of sharing our lives with one. After the shared joy and unconditional love, the passing of a dog, cat, or other pet can leave an owner feeling empty and alone. Sometimes the bond we have with our pets and the immense value they add to our lives is underestimated. Often we feel our bereavement is not taken as seriously as other losses in life.

In Loving Memory Pet Lovers Cat Candle:

Luxe Pets  lovingly created these candles for cats, dogs and all animal lovers who are grieving for their beloved baby.

If you are like me, when someone dear to you loses a beloved pet, there are times you want to do something more than sending a card or flowers. Pet sympathy candles are a most thoughtful and loving alternative.

Luxepet’s “in loving memory” aromatherapy candles hold a loving message on the cover with a loving prayer/blessing on the underside. Using a relaxing blend of lavender and tangerine, (you will NOT believe how beautiful the scent is!!!) , this keepsake 2.7oz silver tin is hand-poured with pure essential oils. Sending a gift of a candle is something that would be long appreciated. You can send it or Luxe Pets can send it for you!! ****Candles may also be personalized with the pet's name.

The Story Behind Luxepets:

It is no surprise that Claire has a special sensitivity towards helping people gain peace from a beloved pet's passing. Luxepets was created to honor the memory of Claire's dog, Sophie. "Sophie was a great teacher. Through all of life’s peaks and valleys, she was a gentle reminder of the simpler things that mattered. When the time came for her time on earth to end, it was filled with peace, grace and many tears. Claire commemorated Sophie’s life with friends, each one sharing memories of how Sophie affected them and how she inspired them to get a pet of their own. Through Sophie’s passing, Claire transferred her sadness and creative passion into creating a line of exclusive luxury keepsakes to cherish, celebrate and commemorate a pet’s impact on our lives. Luxepets was born."

Claire has volunteered for local animal rescue groups. She has committed a portion of all proceeds from Luxepets to be donated to various animal charities. While spending most of her life in California, Claire received a B.S. from California Polytechnic State University, with a concentration in graphic design and a Masters in Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica, Grief Recovery Certification, Reiki I & II certification, Animal Reiki I & II certification and Group Grief Bereavement Certification. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California with her daughter Kayman, and her pups Lulu, and Lucy. To learn more about Claire, visit her About Us page.

  1. What sympathy gifts for people going through a pet loss. Having shopped for sympathy gifts all too often for friends who lost pets, it feels like they're all the same, but these are unique and thoughtful.

  14. What a beautiful gift for someone going through such loss. Too often, this kind of loss is discounted as something less than important. It's beautiful to see this.

  15. Oh, these are such lovely gifts to honor the memories of the furbabies who have gone before us. I agree with what GLOGIRLY said, in that, sadly, some people tend to write off the loss of a pet as trivial. But that is the farthest thing from the truth, and these beautiful tributes help to demonstrate that. Thank you for sharing these lovely treasures!

  16. This is so beautiful. Ironically today marks 2 months ago that I lost my little Tuxedo kitty Boots. He wasn't quite a year and a half years old when I found him in the back yard apparently killed by some animal. This would be wonderful to remember him by and to honor him.
