Caturday Art-Dreamscope

Today I am featuring a photo from a blog post I did way back in the day of an orange kitty that was featured.

I took this photo:

and turned it into this:

From an app that I learned about on Tuesday from our friend Ann, at Pawsitively Pets called Dreamscope.   Check out Ann's amazing photos here.

I love the unusual creations that can be made with this app, but what I don't like is that it doesn't feature a cropping option or an option to add text. I had to go to ribbet.com to crop my old text out  and to add new text in.

In fairness, I used the app on my laptop and not the phone. I am going to see if there is a download available for the phone and see if it offers more editing options.

See more amazing Caturday Art here!

  2. Love that you put Dakota is not included in the giveaway! I could see lots of kitties thinking you were trying to get rid of the dog! My cats might try something like that!

  3. Great job with that effect! It seems like almost all of the photo apps don't do everything I want, so I often have to use more than one before I'm finished with something!

    1. Thanks Jan! Your words are so true! I am the same. There is one I like for Instagram though (and sometimes if I remember I forward them to myself for the blog)...it is Fotor and I can edit AND include text on it right on the phone. I mostly use it for IG.

  7. I do like what that app did to the picture. Might have to give it a try although I like kitties looking just like themselves. Take care.

  13. Meowzers! I love the way that came out! Thanks for the mention. I have also used it on my phone, but it is just a mobile version of the website and not actually something you download. I first tried to find it in the PlayStore, but it wasn't there.

  22. Caren, this is a photo-editing app we hadn't heard about but will definitely check out as we LOVE your art today. The textures and colors are fantastic. Mom often has to use more than one editing tool to make our art as so many programs don't do everything. It doesn't really bother her. Thanks for spreading the word about Sunday Selfies and the blog hop. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
