#AdoptAShelterCat "NAME YOUR OWN PRICE" ON CAT AND KITTEN ADOPTIONS AT MICHIGAN HUMANE SOCIETY

We all know that June is Adopt A Shelter Cat Month  and leave it to our dear friends at Michigan Humane for coming up with yet another creative (and hopefully lucrative) promotion to get LOTS and LOTS of kitties adopted!!! Michigan Humane, as well as shelters all across the country are bursting at the seams with kittens and cats!!

BEGINNING JUNE 30, 2014
AND FOR A LIMITED TIME

Michigan Humane has begun the “Name Your Own Price” promotion for its cat adoptions.  During the promotion, adopters can name their own adoption fee on MHS Certified Pre-Owned cats and kittens; any chosen adoption fee will be honored. The regular MHS adoption process will apply.

“The Michigan Humane Society offers the very best value in adding a new pet, and this promotion just adds to the benefits of adopting a feline friend,” said CJ Bentley, MHS senior director of operations. “The more quickly we find loving homes for these cats and kittens, the sooner we can help even more cats in need.”

MHS is the original home of “Certified Pre-Owned Cats,” which are available in many makes and models. Each comes with a multi-point inspection, spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, standard microchipping and more.

Meet your very own Certified Pre-Owned Cat at one of the three MHS adoption centers, Monday through Saturday (hours vary by location):

  • MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care: 7401 Chrysler Drive
  • MHS Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care: 3600 W. Auburn Road
  • MHS Berman Center for Animal Care (Westland): 900 N. Newburgh Road

In addition, MHS Certified Pre-Owned Cats can be adopted seven days a week during regular store hours at five PetSmart locations: in Dearborn, Rochester Hills, Roseville, Taylor and West Bloomfield; and at Petco in Sterling Heights.
For the complete list of MHS adoption locations and hours, visit www.michiganhumane.org.

The Michigan Humane Society is the largest and oldest animal welfare organization in the state. MHS works to end companion animal homelessness, provide the highest quality service and compassion to the animals entrusted to our care, and to be a leader in promoting humane values.

    1. Awww Jan thanks! They get a bad rap but they do their best....the large shelters can only do so much and it is hard because when the small "no kill" shelters are filled to the rafters, where does the overflow go? The BIG shelters...that's what many don't understand. Your Conrad has a twin! :) You have a great weekend as well and thanks! xoxo
