  17. Sounds a fun book. Books without words play a vital part in improving the 'literacy' of children and adults - allowing them to see many things in the beautiful drawings without scary words. They interact with the book and find so many things, which is why awesome art work really rocks!

  26. We met Caldecott Award Winning Mr. Wiesner, fairly recently and attended a class he held about creating picture books. He went into extreme detail about this book. You have no idea how much work is behind those pages. He even had a "cat cam" (camera) that he made to follow the cat around all day to be sure his illustrations were accurate. He is super nice.

Here is a link to a picture we took of him that day with Mr. Wuffles in the background. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=228726260622250&set=a.228726040622272.1073741830.131915380303339&type=3&l=30e9322678&theater
