Movie Monday-Life of Pi

Based on the novel Life of Pi

Life of Pi is a fantasy adventure novel by Yann Martel. I haven't read this book but reading that it has a emphasis on spirituality has me highly intrigued.

I have always been intrigued by Bengal Tigers, which are the national animal of India and Bangladesh.

Life of Pi, the movie will be in theaters this Wednesday! It is on my must see list!

If any of you have read this novel I would love to have you share your thoughts in the comments!

  2. I love this book. I've read it at least 4 times.. it has a wonderful flow to it and is my go to book when I want to curl up with something that I cannot let go of. I'm eager to see the movie, but worried because it may not measure up to the images from the book.

    2. Yes, I would highly recommend reading the book first. The book has wonderful descriptions. I found the book by accident at the library years ago, I picked it solely by the color of the binder.

  3. Love it.. I've read it several times and it's my go-to book when I'm feeling down. I'm just worried that the movie may not match the images I got from the book. But there's only one way to find out. =^.^=

  4. I would recommend it.. not sure if they will omit some of the things from the movie.. I think they added a few things.. but it's a wonderful book. I found it by accident at the library.. I picked it only by the color of the binder.

  11. You goin' to see the movie, too, Cody? Or just your mom? I've never been to see a movie at the theatre... ever! My peeps take me nowhere! If only I had a little vest or something that had a pocket in which I could keep a set of car keys. Then I could go see movies whenever I liked! purrs

  16. I read and loved the book when it first came out. When I heard it was going to be a movie I couldn't believe how they were going to pull it off technically but just read about the CGI effects on the weekend. You can read the book before or after seeing the film but please do, it's beautifully written.

  28. Cloon's Human: Yep, I am planning to see it this week too! Haven't read the book but I want to shortly because of the spirituality and story line. I share your fascination with tigers (that tiger walk I went on in Australia was a dream-come-true).
