The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) All Breed And Household Pet Cat Show


Saturday, August 20th, 2011

from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 Allen Park Community Center

The show will feature one day of judged competition, as well as exhibitors and breeders providing information and offering close-up views of their cats.  Breeds represented will cover a wide variety, including Persians, Maine Coons, Orientals, Birmans, Tonkinese, Ragdolls, Siamese, Bombays and more.
The show is sponsored by the Midwest Persian Tabby Fanciers, a local non-profit cat club. Internationally qualified CFA judges will evaluate the cats.

The show offers a variety of interests for all people, from cat enthusiasts to families with small children.  Judging will take place throughout the  day, so you can be in a ring watching the judging, or walking the exhibit hall looking at the beautiful cats.  You can ask questions of breeders and exhibiters.  It really is great fun for everyone!

Admission to the show is:
 $5 - adults
 $4 - seniors
 $3 - children
 ( no charge to children under age 5)  
Parking is free

Founded in 1906, The Cat Fanciers’ Association has been devoted to the promotion and protection of all cats.  CFA as a whole, as well as individual member clubs and individuals associated with CFA, have together made outstanding contributions in feline health, feline health research, animal welfare and disaster relief over the years.

  5. @Hannah and Lucy, yes I could, that's too easy! lol. Seriously I use MapQuest. I normally would do it, not sure, I have so much to do yet before I go to BlogPaws this week that I might not be able to. If someone definitely wanted to go then I would go. Come on! xoxoxo

  8. That sounds really fun. My mom person just found out that she gets to go to the Eukanuba dog show in December! It should be very exciting.

  11. Mom and Auntie El used to be Cat Show vendors and traveled all over the country. They haven't done a show in a while but they still have the business online.

    Did we tell you that Mama used to go to Dogs' Shows and brought Angelina or Brad just for the heck of it? So mean, eh? Of course they were safe in the carrier but the poor dogs went berserk. We don't go to cats shows as we hate seeing any animal in cages...however nicely decorated. purrrr *giggles*

  19. I've just written an article about breeding guidelines maybe changing soon due to too many pedigrees having inbred health problems. How are the US groups dealing with the issue? Can you write a post on it?
